- Hidden inside a declining southern town sits a business that once was Mr. Lagota’s pride and joy. He grew up in the area, and was very well liked and respected in the community, gaining the reputation for being a good and honest man. For more than 20 years, he built, and worked on creating and sustaining his dream business - a funeral home. However, Mr. Logota eventually grew older, and as each days passed, he eventually succumbed to sickness and old age, which would be the cause of his eventual downfall. He was soon unable to continue his work, and without having family members willing to continue what he did best, the doors were locked and nobody ever returned, leaving everything still inside like the day he left it. Come along as we venture inside and see whats left.

Thats so so sad. This man wasn't able to pass down his pride and joy to any children or relatives. The ones that do this for the love of it, do it because they are called to a ministry of compassion and everything they do is for the family and a great respect for the dead. When we die, thats the last time anyone interacts w "us" in our human form..it should be with as much compassion and respect as possible.
The two small rooms with archways are viewing rooms used for visitors to pay their respects to the deceased prior to the final rites. The large sink next to the embalming table in the prep room is where the bodily fluids drain from the embalming table and the trocar into the sanitary sewer.

Thank you. I don't believe in funerals, expensive coffins the whole funeral industry. Mum and I have decided no funeral just immediate family one song then cremation no coffin. I took care of an elderly lady her and her deceased husband were funeral directors. She told me that lots of times they donated clothes to the dead

It really has been a while. I wasnt able to go exploring because of some personal reasons but with summer vaca coming up videos will be consistent now!
The tub within the embalming room is a sluice over which the table would be positioned, to allow the drainage of bodily fluids into the sewage system. 😊

maybe they kept it for someone's car or the hearse? that would be the only reason for brake fluid

Please use the term " Deceased ' instead of Dead Body.... That sounds so disrespectful..... The medical term for the Deceased is Cadaver.....
With all due respect Edgar, Dead is Death, After losing so many loved one's the term dead body means nothing offensive. For when your loved one's die their Soul goes Home/Heaven, we see them hold them again when it's our time to go Home/Heaven. Dead, dead body is what it is a body that once held a Soul. I've been a mortician 25 years. Lot of things you were not correct about.
So everyone is supposed to know what everything is who doesn't work in the funeral business?
Well, tell him what he was not correct about so he can get an understanding of what things are the next time he sees them. To the gentleman who did this video, the two metal stands against the wall are not far caskets. Those are floral display stands. So the next time you see one, you'll know what it is.
I don't mean to be rude, but some of Your explanations says You know very little of the this industry. Like the Front is a Waiting Room/Lobby and the Offices are Funeral Directors, Arrangement Specialist and or Secretary. The Room with the 2 Casket one over the other is a Selection Room (Burial Products). A couple of the other rooms are Reposing Parlor and or Viewing Rooms. You used the word 'Mass' and ' Priest' a few times. Which is a Catholic reference. Words to use are Celebrant or Eulogist, O' the grate thing is for Flowers. This is far as I gotten in the video.
