The ACCURACY of how kids play in this is remarkable. “I have all the powers!” “Hey, kid, that knocks you down!” “Nuh uh!” “Yuh huh!” It’s so much fun when the boys are just kids for an episode.
They also did that in I believe Clubhouses in season 2. It starts with them at recess at school and they're playing Americans vs Bosnians, and Cartmans all "no uhhh i got...class 4 armor.." "no you don't fat ass" "SPECIAL ARMOR THAT SHIELDS ME FROM BULLETS" "dammit cartman i shot your bosnian fatass"
This happens a lot in the Stick of Truth and Fractured but Whole, absolutely brilliant games. Just the way they portray stupid things like cardboard shields and foil armour, and scenes like Cartman using the ketchup to bleed or him getting genuinely pissed off at Clyde for letting the elves steal the stick of truth... little things like that are funny
Professor Chaos did get knocked down by a non-heat related ability. So he played more fair than Bulrog. He had his cloak protect him from heat, but not from whatever Kyle hit him with.

I mean kids usually are more corrupted by porn and such than simple fun violence. There's way more examples and instances of just how much a porn addiction can destroy a childs mind, its a hell of a lot more dramatic since it can even happen to adults too and the worst part is that its completely open to access and can be put upon anyone. Violent kids on the other hand especially with weapons are usually either abused, bullied, or horribly raised and completely normal people don't think "wow I wish I could shoot and kill a bunch of people irl too."

This is a great episode that captures exactly a boy’s imagination when playing. We’d get sticks pretending to Conan the barbarian and Thundercats, then use the same stick as a gun like Rambo or Robocop. Any length of cheap rope and we were try to be Indiana Jones. I’m amazed we didn’t get hurt seriously.

During a battle they reconcile and they both gain a special ability. so many great moments from this episode. From the nostalgic memories of playing as a kid, to how everyone would act if you ended up hurting your little brother and trying to cover it up. The best thing about this episode would have to be the song Lets Fighting Love.
I can't remember if this one won an Emmy or not. I know for sure it was nominated. Such a great departure from the normal formula and a throwback to the type of trouble the boys got into in the earlier seasons just being kids amidst a world of incompetent adults.

This is one of my, if not my hands down, favorite south park episode(s) of all time. I have had the theme to it (Let's Fighting Love) memorized and in my music playlist since this episode aired. It mixes everything fun and creative about south park with a very well told story. it's perfectly paced and everything ties itself together in the end.
One of my top five fave episodes. I love Prof. Chaos! He is my favorite summon in the games and this has one of the best anime songs ever! Someone translated the lyrics and it is literally about trying not to get kicked in the nuts while playing ninjas.
The whole anime sounding song during the fight with Craig, Token, Jimmy and Clyde is full of genitalia references and it's super funny when you see the translations! "The powerful blade of Akitama." Akitama = Balls! 🤣
Man this was the first episode I ever saw of South Park. I think I was like 8 or 9 and I had fallen asleep on the couch, woke up just before the episode started and loved the way it was animated during the pretend fights lol. That song has been imprinted as a core memory and to this day this episode holds a special place in my heart. Idk if it’s my favorite cause it’s so hard to choose a single episode, but top 5 for me I think

This and the WoW episode are #1 and #2 IMO. For me, one of the ingredients that always makes for a good South Park episode is when they really lean in on the kids doing kid things, like pretending to be ninjas. This one is just absolutely top notch.
This episode is such a funny commentary on the US' hypocrisy regarding what is ok to show in media. The weird puritan stance regarding nudity or anything remotely sexual but then extreme violence, be it with weapons or otherwise, it's A-OK.
Their parents aren't the brightest, they could just say. "We were at the fair and someone threw a star at Butters but we couldn't see who they were." But have Kyle be the one to say it because they're more likely to believe him.
Apparently there is a comical Meta text to this episode, in that Cartman being naked on the stage will be censored yet none of the broadcast will ever sensor the injury to Butters' eye.
This one and the world of Warcraft episode are my two favourites. Horrific, deplorable violence is okay, as long as people don't say any naughty words! (Sheila Broflovski).
When I was a kid one of my dad's friends went to the Philippines and came back with a katana as a gift for him. My dad basically was like "Uh...thanks?" and put it in his closet and absolutely forbid me and my brother from playing with it. So of course we did whenever we got the chance. I mean it was a SWORD for Christ's sake! Luckily we managed to not chop off any fingers or ears, but we did put a few cuts in our parent's bedspread one time.

Great reaction. This is a top 5 episode for me, and it brings me back to the days when I was a little kid playing pretend with my buddies. It's super accurate to how we kids saw ourselves when we were playing superheroes or whatever action show was popular at the time lol.
In the 90s they were selling these in malls or something because my mom had cool ninja stars and my friends and I all played with them! Fortunately nobody lost an eye 😂

They way the animators portrayed how the kids are playing is way to accurate
anything from season 4 to 9 is pure golden age south park
For me it's seasons 4-12. Wish the show could get back to those days
