if i had a nickel for every time cartmans good future has been changed by his own direct action, id have 2 nickels. which isnt a lot, but its weird that it happened twice, right?
Considering this episode was about the lies parents tell their children about Marijuana and Drugs, I STRONGLY suggest "Butt Out" S7/13! It's got a similar theme of lies and hypocrisy pushed on children
Man, Butters's innocence! "Hurray! And then we can have our weeners bigger, and have a lady massage em" That's why he's one of the best written character in south park.
Bro I do remember a commercial from 2002 that heavily implied if you buy marijuana you’re funding terrorism! I was just a kid and I realized how incredibly stupid that was! After 9-11, a lot of corporations were using RIDICULOUS scare tactics in their marketing! Btw I highly recommend the brilliant documentary “Fahrenheit 9-11”
i also always thought that was ridiculous, and its a pity, because Afghani Hashish is one of the best Hash in the world. Then again, im from the Netherlands, Amsterdam and we can just can buy marijuana here in the local Coffeeshops. I suppose the same argument can be used in the opposite, Don't buy American products or your funding the global war on terror. which has caused more worldwide suffering than the less than 3000 casulties have perished in the world trade center And yes great documentary by Michael Moore, havn't heared from him in years, does he still make documentaries?
Well about them being against drugs but later owning a Tegridy Farms. This is season 6, Tegridy Farms is season 22, Randy is a completely new man at that point.
There are plenty of times where they portray the kids in South Park as the smart ones and make the adults dumber than a box of rocks And it makes the show even funnier

You know we don’t get it often, but Butters and Stan really play off each other well. Both are well meaning and good intentioned, it’s just that they’re easily lead astray and lose sight of their goal. Stan is always finding something to fight for, his morals are really strong, it’s just that he doesn’t always have strong conviction, and sometimes he does the right thing for the wrong reasons, usually for self benefit. Butters on the other hand always does what he feels is right, or whenever he does something wrong he doesn’t understand that it’s wrong, or he’s being used by other people (usually Cartman) but when it’s just Butters and Stan, Butters’ innocence and Stan’s willingness to take charge of the situation work really well off each other. They keep each other in check, Butters stops Stan from losing his way or losing sight of his real goal, and Stan pushes Butters to see the world how it really is, while also getting Butters to act on his own. Butters has the innate potential to become a successful entrepreneur, as has been shown many times, and Stan has what it takes to push an idea of fight for a cause. When working together they are a force to be reckoned with, the two of them are like what Cartman is capable of doing alone, except usually they’re reacting to the world around them, unlike Cartman who’s actions effect the world and force others to react to him. Stan often times fails because he loses sight of his goal, Butters fails since he lacks the willpower to fight for himself, and Cartman fails because he’s so shortsighted, egotistical, and selfish that he never accounts for anything other than what he wants just right now. Cartman is a monster, a self made monster that is his own worst enemy. Stan and Butters are self made men who lack the experience to truly make their efforts worth a damn in the end. It’s usually Kyle who helps Stan come back to his senses, and gets Stan to find some value in whatever he was doing at the time, even if it’s only emotional value. “Raisins” is a good example of the difference in mentality Butters and Stan have.
But season 8 is after season 6 😂 That was just a joke from his stand-up, sad he didn't get it. Thank you for you reading my comment, what a terrific audience.
Sarcastaball, Cherokee Hair Tampons or Worldwide Recorder Event are the NEXT episodes! I've seen this episode countless times and always laughed when Stan asked Butters if he was gay when he appeared as Professor Chaos, but the coming out of the closet bit never dawned on me!! Well caught!! Matt and Trey are really clever!! I love Sarcastaball, it's so much better than football!!
I really like s13e13 dances with smurphs. I recommend watching that one. Funny how this isn't the last time Cartman travels through time and it results in his life being ruined

It's rare we get to see Stan and Butters have their own episode together. Massive W.
Cartman is in it but I agree on your premise
We need more pair ups with characters that aren’t usually together
I'll keep recommending Season 6 Episode 13 - The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers. One of the best South Park episodes.

Overrated
The best part is when Stan sees the absolute worst parents apologize to Butters.
What I love most about that ending is that if Cartman hadn't come back in time to tell himself all of that, he could have kept that bright future.
its kinda sad though that blue collar considered a loser while its blue collar that allows white collar to exist

Let this episode of South Park be a lesson to parents everywhere
The adults in South Park are dumber than a box of rocks
This ENTIRE episode has a hell of a punch line. And that punch line is more goddamn hilarious after the return of Covid.
Knowing Cartman especially as yourself, I would've left it alone.
I think that punch line is better now
“Hey, maybe my future self remembers this happening and could shed some light on this situation.”- Butters.
