In regards to the content creator drama, I feel like CCs sometimes get into the wrong and very childish mindset that a game company is beholden to cater to their needs. This is why i watch you; you just do your thing, have fun and entertain us with a video. Thats it.

yeah as a fgo player its really funny how people complain about the 1% pullrate for rate up characters or the pity system lmao. This game is heaven compared to the fgo hell.

thats because that argument has no merit. when a new character is released, it takes not much more than 3 days for all the tierlist makers to have a full review of the character, with added suggestions for gear and team synergies. so everyone knows if a character is meta almost instantly. heck, depending on the game, people know if a character is meta or not the moment its announced.
I've honestly never paid attention to what others felt about the game. I've just been enjoying it at my own pace and having fun playing it.
That's the best way to go about it. I wish I had stayed off reddit 😆
It's a stupid drama because some people think Timaeus leaked the next character since he is in the CC program and he "predicted" accurately the next character after Acambe. He released his video soon after the update on the CC server. Some CC members called him out for leaking the information, but they are wrong in my opinion. First, Timaeus (probably the most followed CC for Sword of Convallaria) had already predicted the character after Acambe-apparently correctly-in his Google Doc weeks before the update on the CC server. At that time, he was right, but it wasn't always the case. The biggest mistake some CC members made by attacking him was that the information was leaked by someone else way before Timaeus's video, probably about 10 minutes after the update on the CC server. This leak was released by someone on TH-cam in a video, but since that person is small and gets almost no views, no one cares, and it's easier to target the most followed creator.
Timaeus didn't really leak anything; he just made a prediction video. In the past, he did similar videos where his predictions were wrong, and nobody was upset when he made those. But this time, his prediction from a few weeks ago is apparently right, and he released the video after they updated the CC server. So even though he’s saying it's a prediction, some CC members are, in a way, confirming the information by calling him out.
And he already made a prediction for the next, next, next character-so after Acambe and the one after that. If he’s right again, some CC members will likely be mad again.
Just say saffiyah was what he leaked and I support him leaks are helpfull for f2P i support him 👏
@@VvvV-hn5kb Well, I'm not F2P, and I just thought it was unfair that people are attacking Timaeus (even though no one is citing him directly) because the drama started when he released his video, even though the info had been leaked in a video long before.
Nah. I've seen his videos. He has a line between the units in the VC server and the CN release. Saffiyah was next simply because she was the next released unit in that server. Him coming out with a video the saying she's wink wink his next prediction the day it's released on the VC server is leaking it
Now maybe like AJ says he has a different NDA because he's by far the biggest content creator is true. And I don't hate his leaks. But I ain't buying that he isn't leaking regardless of if someone else did first. And I get other CCs being frustrated who legally can't even talk about the unit due to their own NDAs for weeks.
Honestly it's refreshing to play a mobile game with no ads
My only complaints right now for the game is, I would like loadouts, and more resources/luxite from the battle pass. Especially if their playing catch up and dropping units more frequent, give us some more luxite from the pass.
thats the biggest "drama" going on right now with the game (not enough resources since they are rushing content), but most content creators are playing defense for xd and obfuscating with these talks of leaks or too much resources for signed CCs.
@ArthurianFables I don't mind the CCs getting extra stuff. Ass Jay said, they promote the game. I just wish that when they promoted the game they would also promote positive criticism from the community which I know Jay does. I follow him during war of the vision and he did alot for us.
@@kogawolfdemon567 neither do I nor most of the people that are complaining. the CC thing was literally just a lighting rod for alot of people that were finding it weird how we getting all these content rushed but didnt get enough resources to keep the same pace. so when they saw the ammount of gems ccs were getting, they exploded.
I already dropped the game because it really just felt way too greedy, especially compared to other modern gacha games. It feels so bad going from other games and getting like free 10 pulls from login events on every update and the much better pity system to what SoC was offering. Banners were coming out too quickly and the pull currency was not matching it at all. The fact that CCs were getting literally HUNDREDS of pulls did not help matters, just felt like the devs did not respect my time or presence. They just wanted to milk me, which sure you could say the same for all gacha games, but they at least hide it better, people need to understand that the greed each game has is on a relative scale with each other. When it comes to SoC it just felt like one of the worst and greediest gacha games released in a long while. Shame too because it had so much potential to be more.
i dont fault the CC's but it does make me second guess spending big money when im competing with employee's essentially. unless i drop almost a rent payment every month, i cant compete with their marketing team. im in striking distance of 1st place on achievments and im realizing that its kinda pointless if i cant match what the top CC's are being forced to accept payment in. after seeing all this im inclined to pick up saffiya and f2p after that and only draw for meta's once ive earn enough luxite. i wanted to collect them all but when you hit 3 pity prizes in a row and see things like this, common sense has to intervene at some point🥴
As a free-to-play/minnow that's waiting on a few meta units to drop so I can pull on their banners to push some content, the way they straight up skipped Safiyya while excellerating the release schedule is kind of bunk. That being said, I'm loving the free to play content in Spiral of Destinies, though I seem to be in a very hard story line right now (backing Gloria against August). The final battle I'm in is basically unwinable with my current roster of units, which once again goes back to needing a few meta units to push my account. It's a vicious cycle honestly
the free to play mode stories are wonderful but people always just want to focus on the gacha side of things. Spiral of Destiny is better than a lot of SRPG games out there and it's free.

On the first point, Auronnj says he doesn't feel like he's being rushed or just don't pull on characters anyways, but gets handed 20k+ premium currency every month so he doesn't have a realistic view of what the lack of currency for pulling really is. "Nothing burger" to you, Auronnj. But even light spenders feel the tightness of pulls.
Also, Auronnj logic of not being paid in real cash but in-game currency. Well he just saved him from spending $600 cash over the next 3-5 months, which he will continue to play SoC because it generates him $$$. Might not be cash, but it just saved you cash by not spending your own cash. =/=

I think there are too many players in the SoC community that this is their first gacha, 95% of negative comments makes me believe that lol. On reddit and yt there's too much drama out of nothing, let's wait a couple of months to conclude anything at all about the future of the game.
Maybe it's just my perspective, but I kind of feel like its the opposite. I'm a tactics RPG player, that doesn't usually use reddit or play gacha games. As a tactics player waiting for a game like this for a long time. I love the art, music, story and gameplay in Sword of Convallaria.
Long-time gacha players (who are loud on reddit) seem hyper-focused on pulls/income and rates. It's like they don't care about the game at all, they just want a slot machine they can win at (seemingly). They say things like, "The scorched event only gives 3 pulls! Events should give at least one multi" Meanwhile, if you consider the first clear luxites from doing the stages, it's actually 11+ pulls total. So they are getting mad that they don't get at least 10 pulls, when in reality they are getting more than 10...
They tend to make knee-jerk reactions, and compare this game to other gacha games in a negative light. As if gacha games are all interchangable, the gameplay itself is irrelevant... all that seems to matter to them is the pulls/rates/income. For them it's just an opportunity to gamble, and if they don't get the odds in their favor enough, they just move on to the next gacha. I'm not interested in other gacha games, because this game is the game that has the gameplay, style, and story I've been looking for.
Well, in the defense of those people that are complaining, many of the fans of the game, content creators included, sold the idea that the game was "like final fantasy tactics" so if someone came over with those expectations, theyll probably have problems with the gacha part of the game.

@@thetaerdinI made that very comment in the thread in the video. They would rather have 1 big celebration that gives 10 pulls because it feels nice, over 4 events that give 5 each.
I even went as far as asking what do you even enjoy in the game, and never got a reply.

I think they are just rushing to close the gap too much, I play the latest spiral of destiny, the English translation is incomplete some buff and description and still in Chinese.They need to chill and think this throughly
But you have access to the test server, so can you play every hero to make your informed decision, therefore not needing the gems for that reason? Also, when you do give up the game, you can sell your account with gems. There will be someone willing to buy at the right price.
I've never been on reddit to see SoC posts, so I didn't know there was negativity until now from your video.

I feel like the rate of the banners is the problem not the ccs getting an absurd amount of currency. Its becoming very obvious they are going for max amount of profit knowing the game will die like it did in the east. Push out banners way to fast, re arrange meta banners to make sure everone that isnt a cc is drained, let ccs call everyone jealous while they spam summon. Repeat till servers shut down.
Everywhere you go in gaming communities, it’s full of people complaining about everything. They can't get the character they want, they don’t have enough resources, the company should be giving out more-it’s just constant whining. But a while ago, I realized they’re not really mad at the company; it’s more about their inability to deal with life. Frustrated people venting their negativity online. Nothing’s perfect. A company is out to make a profit. If you want to play, then play, but understand that in the game, you’ll only go as far as what you’re willing to invest-whether that’s time or money. You’ll be competing with people at your level, not with people who have their finances together in real life and can afford to max everything out in-game. That’s just not your reality. If you’re not happy, you’ve walked into the wrong video game store, my friend. You should be playing single-player games, not gacha games. Because most of the people complaining aren’t even covering the cost of a dev’s salary or the game’s servers.

F2Ps act like they're competing against the megawhales every day when they're not. If you just don't think about your bracket being "lower than someone else", you can find enjoyment in just playing the damn game.
Yup. Buts its mostly a vocal minority as people who watch content on games they play are more "extreme" part of the player base compared to the majority casual players who don't care.
To be fair to the people complaining because their life is hard... things are hard for a lot of people these days. I don't blame people for falling into a cycle of negativity, when the world treats them so harshly. But I do hope that they can find a better place to be in the future. What i love SoC and WuWa than WOTV and other gacha game are, we can complete mission worst character we had. WOTV can do that either but for legendary weapon other specific mission, we must have META. And other gacha game we must have META character to finish PVE, such as HSR newest i can't finish em if we don't have newest character and RNG are suck. And WOTV have make it great are give us guranteed if we pull 20x, are better than HSR 50% each pull and i loss 20x pull for firefly

I've gotta say if you have a problem with what content creators get for making content of the game... become a content creator. The game is free and there will always be a disparity between someone who pays or advertises the game vs someone who just plays the game

The game is a wasteland in CN/TW even a lot of whales left. The developers never addressed any concerns since launch for them the entire year. So… since a lot of people are still in the honeymoon phase won’t be long now until people start seeing the problems and leaving. I have a large friends list and more than half haven’t logged in 2-3 weeks. After level 60 and there’s nothing to do hope no one act surprised when it falls off almost completely.
Also you said you have no problem with the pace of the banners but you are a CC you get 51k gems so it’s not like anything will ever affect you lol

a lot of 60's have gone dead on my friend list too and 80% of my 1st guild quit around labor day. and yeah, the pace of the banners are killing me, im around 1600 into the game and am still missing 3 characters with like 10 more new one's one the horizon and all my luxite goes to trying to get every character to 1 star.

Their loud criticism based on wrong info misrepresents the reality of the game, and it also takes up space that could be used for real valid criticisms. I'm not a big gacha or reddit person, but it seems that reddit is a place where people have knee-jerk reactions before getting all the info. Just a place to create drama and farm upvotes. If you try to correct them about facts they've gotten wrong, they downvote you. It's just toxic I guess.
Sadly I had to stop playing even though I love the game. Just didnt have enough time with FF14 and playing another gacha.

It's a nothing burger. The people complaining about it are the same people who were never going to be competitively at the top anyways. Some of these people think that "this content creator took the spot I could have been in", but then they're F2P/light spenders that weren't going to have the stats to compete at that level anyways. Congrats, you'll go from Rank 10,000 to 10,050. Content creators aren't keeping you from getting Top 200 because they're afforded more pull currency for their content.
A lot of gachas have done this over time and aren't shy about it. I used to moderate for an official discord years ago on a gacha and they paid us in free premium currency every week. It's not a new concept at all.

i 100% think havign a view into the future is only a benefit for us as players. If the creators have an issue with that then fix the problems with the garbage characters and make it pointless and if they don't then we know not to waste our time and money win/win for us

I'm f2p and the only unit I didn't get was the ice girl. Every unit I've pulled for I got easily
If everybody did just fine and got every character on F2P, the game wouldn't last a year. It's designed to reward small spenders and whales will get the most of the game. It's great to enjoy without spending and I'm glad for those that enjoy that. But with no ad revenue, the game relies completely on those who do spend.
He’s played HSR entirely F2P, using no five stars. I get your salty at a gacha game but don’t bring your negativity into the comment sections.

@mikelxanadu I remember when people could critsice something or someone without being just "salty" or "negativity". I agree with everything they said, feels like the rate of these banners are purely for the cc's that get the 51k currency. Then we keep hearing these same ccs talk about how the rate of banners and rewards are fine.

Dev's need to give EVERYONE more pulls, CC's, F2P's, even whales need more purchase options for pulls. I love SoC, I love how viable all the characters are(even with no dupes), CC's have been excellent with the coverage of the game (Thank you), and I can either spend a lot of time on the game or a little time on the game and still feel accomplished and like I havent fallen far behind the curve. that being said....the two things the game lacks make up for about half the character building aspect of the ENTIRE GAME. There is NO ACCESS TO TRINKETS PERIOD, and there's not enough pulls. The pull drought not even 2 months into the game, on accelerated scheduling is probably the most detrimental thing any dev company could do to any game. its self cannibalization.
If you haven't played Sand-made scales yet, you should dive in. There's over 6000 luxites to be obtained, most of which come pretty easily.

You sell your extra legendary weapon from dailies and trade them for 2 trinkets/months in gear shop, also with all these events bringing at least 1or 2each plus from the clash and tower shop i think we got like 10? per month could be more or less

Compared to wotv this game is much more f2p friendly, especially when alot of the "top tier" units dont matter in late game content. SOC PvE rewards planning and synergy more than rarity. Stat sticking and pressing 'auto' is not going to help you in this game.
So AuronJ who says he will spend money on the game says they are not gaining money when getting free summon currency(the main thing you would buy) also pull videos tend to get more views which would translate into more irl money.
Damn, thought you were better than this. If you really cared about learning the characters you could go to the test server and learn them there. Why lie, just say you like getting a free in game and out of game advantage as I said earlier with views on pull videos.

Honestly though I haven't done a video defending the CC gems but people getting so mad over it kind of boggles my mind. It seems more like jealousy than logical. Like of course we should get something for drawing so many eyes to the game.
And honestly if people think 20 or even 60k gems is enough to dominate the pvp have no context for how many gems it costs to 5 star a unit right away.

Personally I don't understand why some people are so upset. It's a good game. Yes, there have been some small problems, but they have been minor and haven't impacted me in any appreciable way.

Players may not know about this drama or that drama, but they know when the game is not doing right by them. and boy is this game not doing right by them.
the only reason my friendlist is not a graveyard is because I actively remove people from it on the daily.
but this is normal for every game. At the beginning, many people will try out the game and leave.

sticking your fingers in your ears or closing your eyes doesnt make the reasons for negativity to disappear. thats like saying "calm down" to a person who is angry or in distress. the usual response is that they get angrier or even more distressed. so a better solution is to solve the reasons for the problem and not ask people not be "such a downer".
