I've got really bad stress, anxiety, and also ADHD. Writing To-Do lists for everyday simple tasks and things I'm worried about surprisingly helps A TON. It definitely quiets my brain and helps me focus on things one at a time!
I can absolutely confirm this! I don't know anyone lives just trying to remember things (or how I used to - lots of random lists and lots of stress). Maybe a year ago I started using the site/app Todoist to literally write *everything* down - go to the store, study for this test, daily schoolwork, housecleaning - and schedule it, and it has been seriously life-changing. Someone tells me to do something, even in 2 weeks? I schedule it for then, it pops up on that day, I remember. My system isn't as organized as something like the full GTD which is probably less productive, but still I absolutely love it and am totally dependent now lol.
Wow, I knew this money from somewhere. This is actually what my teacher tought me back in 1999 at the high school in Germany. Now I'm giving this advice to my parents. Thanks for the fun video.
you guys should make a video about life being a game, and motivate students to stick at hardcore revision during intense exam periods or something along those lines!
i'm really interested in things that you're doing even i newly started to watch your videos and just watched only one video of you, all of them are amazing but i'm wondering how do you do these wonderful effects... they're all like omg!
Again, nice video! Could you guys subtitle the videos? Sometimes it's really difficult to follow the fast talk (I'm not a native english apeaker). Anyway, great work!
I don't think it's possible to write everything down because you would need to write down that "you need to write everything down", and also write down that task, and the task that you need to complete that task - thus creating a recursive process.
Cool graphics! But it's especially the written down stuff I forget... in private life. It's like 'written down?" ok now you can forget and never look at it again :p Though at work it's like writing down is deleting it from your head ^^ and you HAVE to look at your lists to know what to do first :)
My monkey has wings. And fleas. And bad breath. Even though I've got everything written down, he doesn't seem to care. I'll show him this vid - and my written list - tomorrow. At 2AM when he wakes me up.
i have a pretty easy way to remember stuff... not phone numbers or stuff like that rather little things like "call mom" or "go to the bank" its quite simple really and it really works, when i have to remember something i just make a little dot with a pen on the back of my hand every time i see the dot it reminds me of what i have to do this also works with several things and several dots... but dont use one dot to remember several things... that wont work
Great, but what if I forget to look at my to-do list ? Cuz that's usually what happens :/ It's true that I already memoriesed the things that i have to do because i already put them on paper and so on..... but on a hectic day you tend to forget those important things.....
It means to organize your clarified tasks in a system. Or, write things down in an organized way so you can retrieve your clarified tasks in a context that you can do something with your tasks.
I would like to contribute with subtitles in Portuguese (Brazil). I write about GTD on Call Daniel. How can we do this? Sending you my text translated text for you publish. Or i need download his video here, edit and return it? Please guide me as I need do it.
The image of the post-its leaving the brain while you write your tasks down, I don't think it is quite accurate... I actually reinforce those tasks in my head when I write them down and review everyday. Actually, when I manage to diligently do this everyday, I don't need to consult the task list to know my tasks, they come to mind much easier.
Well, maybe more was said than just "make a to do list"? Like why make a to do list? Like what is the basic form of this to do list? I don't know about you, but this little video helped me to ... make a to do list!

I'm studying motion graphics and just came to say that your openings ROCK! And the content as well, congratulations :D
Delightful presentation of David Allen's GTD system
The graphics in this video are epic! You are very talented.
I'm very proud of myself to have already been doing most of these helpful tips!
Finally... the video is here.. Been waiting for this since the Lifehacker video.
This animation is such a beauty that I had to watch it twice to focus on the message. My compliments :D
You guy are amazing! Keep changing our lives for the better!
My conversations with my Mom help me prioritize my To-Do lists. She helps me clarify, prioritize, and reminds
Love it! This is exactly why I use Checkvist to get everything written down and prioritized!
excellent summary. I'm going to amazon now to investigate the book.
love the animation

Hello, I would like to subtitle this video in Spanish and upload it to my channel, is there a problem?
Again, nice video!

You are the best

I dont use a calendar

qhat does it mean to park the result?

I guess it means you keep that list and details you made for later reference. I don't think they need to say this at all if that's the case.
I would like to contribute with subtitles in Portuguese (Brazil). I write about GTD on Call Daniel. How can we do this? Sending you my text translated text for you publish. Or i need download his video here, edit and return it?

Nice monkey!
First on the "to-do list" was mom... hmm :P
yay monkey can finally get some sleep
too busy
so what you are saying, make a to do list? Thats not a very new idea ^^
Well, maybe more was said than just "make a to do list"?
Like why make a to do list? Like what is the basic form of this to do list?
I don't know about you, but this little video helped me to ... make a to do list!
So don't use to much RAM at a time, kids. Or just buy more RAM and install it in your brain.
the monkey in my head keeps jabbering along so I won't procrastinate. Unfortunately.
First!
