Thanks everyone for checking out the video! The garage tiles turned out better than expected. I did forget to mention in the video of the cost, it came out to be around $700 after taxes, free shipping from Amazon of course. Amazon link to the tiles is in the description. Hope you enjoy, show some love by smashing the LIKE Button :)
I have had that same flooring in my garage here in Upper Michigan where we get real winter except for this winter lol only 108” of snow so far but I just love these tiles. Easy to clean does not show the dirt and indestructible, the only regret a did not buy them years earlier.
I would definitely recommend Swisstrax they pull up easy enough but what I really like in the winter moisture drip through on the concrete floor beneath and evaporate no slippery floors and it always looks good
Thanks for checking out the video. They feel fine on my feet, almost like a slight massage. It doesn't hurt, but I wouldn't want to jump up and down on them.
How well would these hold up under use with a quick jack portable lift? Think they'd hold up under them with not constant use but frequent at least using the quick jacks 3-4 times a month
@evangelistaalbertomercedes7905 hey thanks for checking out the video. It's holding up good. Although I have no edge kit on them, no breakage or cracks where the cars enter. I haven't clean my garage yet so no update there. I need to do a video on cleaning/update one day.
It doesn't move driving in and out. Only time, it might move/lift a little is when you turn the wheel without moving the car. But it goes back to normal when you move in and out. There isn't edge pieces from the same company. I've tried a company called Big Floors from Amazon and those didn't fit. I might try another company called IncStores again from Amazon. But right now, even without the edge pieces, I have no issues going in and out. It's all about looks at this point.
Hi and yes, still have the floors with no issues. Nothing broken, no color fade that I can tell. I still haven't done my first cleaning yet, something I'll get to eventually.
Garage turned out really nice. I am looking to do the same but concerned about the spacing in the tiles. Do you ever drop something and need to fish it out of the floor? Like a screw. Thoughts?
Thank you! Appreciate you checking out the video. I did have the same concern about dropping something in-between the tiles but so far I haven't "lost" anything in there. Also, I do try to work on all my projects on the other side of the garage, which has no tiles. Hope this helps.
It's holding up great so far. Haven't seen any cracks or broken tiles from the weight of the car. I haven't cleaned them yet so that'll be interesting to find out. I'll definitely have a video on it when I do. Thanks for checking out the video 👍
I'm still loving the look of the tiles. I would recommend them if you only want the look. If you plan on working on projects on the tiles, then I would say get the solid tiles. If you place jacks/jack stands on these tiles, it'll get dented in. You would need to place some type of wood or plate to prevent that from happening.
Good work Looks amazing even matching your Nice sports car do they make anything to protect the first tile when entering to keep it from crumpling over time
From thr same company, looks like they don't. I bought some off of Amazon called Big Floors, they didn't fit. There is another company on Amazon I might try called, IncStores. But right now I'm okay without the edge piece. No issues with the cars getting in and out. It's all esthetic at this point.
@@SpendingJarI think the company that actually makes them is vevor so might want to see if they offer an edge piece. Garage looks awesome and sweet ride!
You can absolutely blow and wash it out. There are channels under it to allow for drainage. Vented tile is best for concrete floors because concrete is porous.
the ones like your have slits, doesn't this allow dust and dirt get down and make it now hard to use the blower to clean ? and don't they make a border for the front of the garage looks incomplete
Thanks for checking out the video. The dark grey is from Benjamin Moore Charcoal Grey (leftover paint from another project), and the light grey is from Behr Ultra Flannel Grey.
@PODOnow sorry for the late reply, no issues so far the tiles are still in good condition. Now, with that being said, if you plan to work on your car on the tiles, I would get solid ones. For example, I made a TH-cam short showing how jack stands will dent-in these tiles. I still love them. If I need to jack up my car, I just place plywood underneath it as a solution.
That’s my biggest question about these types of tiles too. The little grooves look like a total pain in the ass to keep clean. I’ve seen some woodworking garage videos installing these and all I can imaging is how frustrating and anger triggering it would be to get sawdust out of the grooves.
@@KatherineChalmers na its easy, if you are heavy into wood working and just have a lot of saw dust, a leaf blower knocks everything right out. If its more longer strands like blades of grass, then it can be a little more of a hassle and need to use a shop vac but again its super easy and the tiles keep the floors looking cleaner longer bc they fall because the debris goes between the grooves. I have these in my garage, a backyard patio, and in my gym. All areas see a different variety of dirt/debris and I much prefer these over my old epoxy floors. Cheers!
I haven't cut them yet, so I can't say if it's easy to cut or not. But since it's not a completely solid piece, my guess would be with the right tool shouldn't be too hard.
Good question, I haven't tried yet, guessing the floor jack shouldn't be an issue since it's on 4 wheels. The jack stands are narrow on the bottom so that might or might not be an issue. I'll test it out when I get home later and post an update for you. Thanks for watching and support 👍
@@SpendingJar absolutely! Ty for sharing and reviewing! Also do you think these might be able to interlock with similar tiles? Thanks for your thoughts and experience!
@wick6315 just tested the floor jack and jack stands. Looks like both will damage the tiles in some way without a plate underneath. It works, but you'll have scuff marks and dents on the tiles. As far as other manufacturers, my guess is it won't fit together. I think swisstrax has 6 tabs vs 4. Racedeck has 4 tabs but my feelings are it won't line up completely. Hope this helps! I have plenty of spare tiles so I'll replace the damaged one day. All in the name of science right? Haha 😂
@@SpendingJar ty for checking that out for me! Do you think if you put a piece of steel under the jack and stands the floor will be ok? I'm just wondering because I want to buy them but I work on my cars from time to time and just trying to learn if they will work lifting on them. And ty for answering so fast! Gave you a thumbs up and ill sub too!
@wick6315 Thank you! I just uploaded a TH-cam short on floor jack vs tiles if you want to check it out. I think a plate would help even out the pressure across the tile better and help it from getting damaged. Maybe a video on it in the future.
I'll admit it looks good but I track in a lot of pine needles and debris. On my tires, are they gonna fill those gaps? I mean, what's the point? Unless we use a high-powered shop vacuumto suck out the debris,Once a month, a solid tile, you could just sweep or blow them out. Help me out, what's what's the point?
The Audi is sweet! R8? I love how you used the blue tiles to make the two zones for parking. Unfortunately Amazon doesn't sell these anymore but I will continually search. Great video!
My only issue with those is dirt and debris can get stuck in those crevices. Better off with a solid panel (eg Husky PVC) w air gap underneath for moisture flex. 💪
💯 agree on dirt getting trapped. I haven't tried cleaning my tiles yet, but I know there are a few leaves under there. I'll probably have a cleaning video on it one day. But I still love the look. The other issue I ran into is working on my cars on these tiles. Jacks and jack stand will dent the tiles in. Guessing solid tiles might have fewer issues. My solution was to place wood to disperse the weight from the jacks.
Still loving them. Holding up fine and looks great. No color fade or cracks. If I were to pick an issue, it would be placing car jack/jack stands on them. It'll leave a dent using them. One solution would be to place something beneath the jacks, example a metal or woood plate/plank beneath the jacks.
Hi, yea, I didn't cut the titles whatsoever. I kept it simple by leaving a gap where the shoe racks are. I locked them together with the hammer, placed the fridge on top, and called it a day 👍 Personally, I'm okay with it. As far as cutting the tiles. I believe they sell tools to cut tiles, sort of like cutting laminate floors. Or using best iudgement, many types of saw should work with a fine tooth blade. Haven't tried it, so I can't confirm what works best.
I've had them 6 months now and haven't cleaned them, so you might be right haha I need to do a 6 month update/cleaning video to see how bad it is. But still loving the look.
This guy seems to be very lazy. He should’ve ran all those tiles right through to turn the back wall. I’ve got a two car garage too, about the same size and I ran the flooring right to the back wall. Looks super. He also did not put the pieces in the front That have a bevel on them so your car can gradually just go up into it. Obviously he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

That floor is going to collect EVERYTHING!!! Going to be a massive pain to get dirt and debris out. Can’t sweep or blow it out 😮
