    I have a mk 2 chopper unused since 1976 it's mint condition and won 2nd at my first show 👍

    Just use a spring from a ball point pen and just bend it to the original shape

    Brompton use Sturmey Archer hubs. And that nut for the back axle is exactly what Brompton's use. Now the thread "might" be different (not sure). But Bromptons are a current made bike so not a problem to find that part and check. That hole in the side of the nut is used to set your gears correctly (sure you know that).

      Nothing bought online... All bits are from walking in to the local bike shops and talking to enthusiastic owners/dealers. It's sad that Amazon has pretty-much killed the "romance" of building projects. I scavenged the hub from a full-size Raleigh mens bike I found locally on Marketplace for cheap... so I guess I did use the internet a bit, LOL.
