+Ramsfan09 Newegg has certified refurbished iRobot Roomba 650's for $270. I just grabbed one as a Christmas gift. Still more expensive than a basic push vacuum, but not bad considering it retails for $400 and it's one of the top rated robot vacuums.

i didnt consider getting one of these at first.. but my dog shedded absolutely insane. my dad bought one of these for $300 and i know it sounds insane but its actually a very good investment. i thought it was a waste but it actually did very well and worked greatly. we use it everyday when we dont have time to vacuum

But for now, it was easy to set up, sucks up a lot of dirt for a tiny little vac and my cat Henry can't get enough of it. What if you wanted to clean on a different floor? It's not going to be able to go up the stairs so you've have to get up and move it yourself and then when it's done you'd have to move it back down the stairs for it to go back in its charging station. Also would the noise of it not get annoying after a while. When someone else is just using a regular vacuum the noise gets on my nerves lol. Good concept in theory and good for people with small rooms that have no stairs. The smartphone thing is really good though. I like that. That's my opinion on it anyway haha. It's a cool little gadget.
Who cares about how long it takes to vacuum? I have one and its sooo amazing! It cleaned my living room for about 15-20 mins and it is such a life saver if you're in a hurry! Lets say you have a party and you have only 35 mins, you could literally prepare yourself while the robot is vacuuming! I mean i LOVE IT SO MUCH! You should consider buying it!

If you can get a camera on top of it all the time (A Vacucam?), maybe you can set up an online feed like a nanny cam and check out the feed while you're out!
