MrMemo200012 When the fight is not even close for a rematch you got humiliated. As simple as that. Naz was supposed to completely destroy Barrera easily in less than 4 rounds and boy did he get a surprise. He got so humiliated that he quit his career after it and he was still relatively young for the sport.

bullshit. Marco and prince are exactly the same age. if you mean boxing years your also wrong because marco actually started his pro boxing career 2 years before prince (and continued 9 years after prince retired). so in theory marco was way older in boxing years with much much harder opponents at different ages. Prince was a great boxer but unfortunately it was due to his talent and ability. Marco on the other hand did not merely rely on his talents and abilities but in time perfected becoming a boxing technician with sound boxing basics. That will sustain your boxing success much further after your talents and abilities start becoming affected by age. In short barrera was a better and more disciplined fighter.

@Raiton45 I agree. Take this as an Example of that. When Floyd Mayweather fought victor Ortiz he was landing lead right hands and left hooks as well as combinations in some rounds and the punches seemed to have no effect what so ever on Victor. But in the moment that he did not see the punches coming was when he got laid out. that demonstrates that saying is true. If you can land a quick hard shot during the fight that your opponent doesn't see you might be able to knock almost anyone out.

As soon as Hamed left the Ingles and took on Emmanuel Stewart as his coach he was never as good!
Stewart tried to mould him into a more orthodox boxer. Which was a mistake. The whole reason Naz was beating everyone was because he was unorthodox., using his reflexes to avoid punches, keeping a nice, loose hands down, relaxed style, which ultimately added power to his punches!

The game misses Naz man, and the game was good to him, look at that crib...I saw him a few times circa 95, 96 when he came to my gym in Canning Town anytime he was fighting in London Arena...mouthy dude but he backed it up and he was entertaining as shit, he just had his own style.

I loved watching Prince Naz growing up. However, Lennox is the best British boxer of all time. Bar none. And I'm not forgetting Joe Calzaghe in that consideration. It's still Lennox.

He should never have left Brendan. He nursed him since age 7. He should have faced Floyd, PAC, Barrera, Morales early in his career. As there was less tapes on him, he would have caught them by surprise. With weight gain he slowed down. Khan had a better promotional team overall, in sense of landing big fights early on.
