And thats when he stopped training and noone he trained with after that could get him to train properly because he would just tell them that he was the world champion and didnt need to do the training that they were trying to get him to do His new trainer even called Ingles gym and told them ; "he wont listen to me and i cant get him to train" If you watch the barrera fight with Nas, youll notice its his only fight were he didnt jump over the ropes with his usual ring entrance, because he had no strengh power or speed for that fight even hefore he started fighting. It was his own fault for not training. However that was him severely drained without his usual strength speed and style.. Barrera didnt do Nas's hands.and it wasnt done in training like he told people. Again it was his cockyness that got his hand brocken by a local well known criminal in Sheffield were Nas is from. Nas was in a snooker club and when walking past 2 guys playing snooker he started messing around with their table, picking up their snooker balls and said "do you know who i am?" Well as i said the guy was a suppssed to be a black belt in several martial arts and supossed to have comitted murder and was quite well known. (Back then the gun laws werent as strict in the UK) and it was obviously believed that he was telling the truth and they had veen playing Russian Roulette Anyway it was well rumoured Nas said that to him and his reaction was said to be that he quickly reacted by smashing his snooker que onto Nas hand on the edge of the snooker table, breaking his hand and told Nas, "do you know who the ×××× i am?" So it wasnt Barrera. And we all heard that story before it even came out that Nas had broken his hand in training, so i think its probably true. Its a shame because he was very entertaining, and had he stayed humble and not fallen out with Brendan ingle I believe he couldve won them all and continued to be recognised as an all time great.. Although there is a film in the making about his life, with Pierce Brosnan playing Brendan Ingle. Which should be good because Brendan was irish like Pierce Brosnan, and Sylvester Stallone is producing it, so i would think it should come out as a decent movie..
