    Can you do another video with other/new questions Apple asks? such as; tell me a time when you were stranded & you had to come up with a solution? Tell me about a time when a customer asked for something unexpected/unrealistic, what did you do? “

    Hi may you do how to go into your new job if a disgruntled employer didn't honor your 2 weeks notice? Whether it's better to take a pay loss. Or how can you ask your new employer if they can start the training earlier than scheduled day

    I’ll get the opportunity to meet with the team members that will be working with me if I get the position and ask them questions about the position and company culture. Do you have any tips for this interview? Thanks!

    Ben, my company, when interviewing internal candidates, the first question is, "What is frustrating you the most, about your current position?"

    I currently have an IT seasonal job / IT temporary job. The seasonal job can go from 15 hours per week to 40 hours per week. It is supposed to last maximum 7 months, but it is not guaranteed. How would I answer the question if it is a job interview for an IT full time job, 40 hours per week?

    • @BenTalksTalent
      @BenTalksTalent  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can tell them you have a temp job but you are looking for a full time role. Nothing wrong with that.

  • @Ross-re2up

    How do you deal with this where an organisation re-structure made your role redundant and they provided you with notice. I really stumbled through this one at my first interview I had had in 5 years! Bu t I spoke to the capabilities of my specialty not being needed within the technology organisation anymore (and that 21 others were made redundant also) - reality is that the new CIO wanted her own leadership team to come in :(

    • @BenTalksTalent
      @BenTalksTalent  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a complicated subject. I’ve actually added it to my list of videos to make. I would say any letters of reference will help and if you have trouble getting interviews, perhaps a cover letter. You can indicate on your resume you left because of a restructure if it’s a barrier as well. Full video coming!

    • @Ross-re2up
      @Ross-re2up 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BenTalksTalent Thanks Ben - definitely getting interviews (I was in the role for 5 years) been applying and interviewing for 4 weeks now - it was the first interview I had had in all that time I just wasn't looking elsewhere even though the culture was terrible and I should have looked elsewhere in that time (I was actively working to improve it with a group from across the division). After I departed a large number of others left too without roles to go to because it was so bad! You covered this topic well in your other videos - they really helped me out!
      The positive: I just landed my next contract role (as there aren't too many permanent roles out there here in Queensland Australia for what I do)!
      I guess sometimes I can be too honest too, but that's not a bad thing right!! rotfl I know, I know - it sure can be!
      Thanks for the tip! Will be far easier to explain away now that I am contracting - there is to be expected gaps between contracts. The industry knows what happened here in this small town - they've seen the new CIO do this before. Being a small town people have long memories!

  • @noldi123

    so much verbal jostling and stretching the truth ffs. I got approached by a recruiter for a role for 30% pay jump. I had been in my current role for 3 months but would leave for a 30% pay jump. The recruiter asked why are you looking to leave your current role, I mentioned something like this new opportunity seems great and offers a substantial comp boost. Didn't hear back after a few days for any invitation to an interview. I should have said something about new growth opportunities / i really respect your organization and appreciate the job description etc.

    • @BenTalksTalent
      @BenTalksTalent  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I know, the verbal jostling can be annoying and frustrating. But it is part of why I made this channel. The situation is what it is. But hopefully this can help you navigate it more smoothly.
