Hello, thanks for the vid. Is it possible to move a slice to a specific point on the sequencer? When I click a slice, it doesn't display where exactly on the sequencer it is.

Nice vid.. Is it possible to adjust audio levels for individual slices? I'm guessing no, I have a part of my vocal that's way to loud. The vocal is embedded into the track drum track, so I think the best way is just to automate a quick level drop section.

You could also try using a bit of compression to fix the problem. Or, use the razor tool to cut the clip at the portion where the vocals art too loud, then you can adjust it's level independently of the main clip.

Yeah, level automation seemed to work, a cheap fix but got the job done. Seeing as the vocal and guitar are fused together as one audio file compression may have not worked so well. That's a good tip to cut the section and adjust independently. Looks, like good fun with Reason 9.2 for us now :)

02:05 This "Open in Comp Edit" is missing in Reason 9.5. To get into comp mode, use the COMP EDIT button at the top, to the left of the SNAP button. Then later to change the "stretch and transpose type" I had to ESC out of slice edit mode, select the clip, and choose it from the context menu (right click).

so you can do this in reason 9,5? also what device did you load the sample into?

Great video thanks!! I seem to be confused about how to access inline editing vs. comp mode. When I double click sometimes I get comp mode, sometimes I get inline editing. What am I missing??

There are several things to pay close attention to that can hopefully alleviate this issue you're having. When you're double-clicking and audio clip in Reason, or selecting the clip and pressing enter on your keyboard, this should always open the in-line editor except in the following instances.
The audio clip displays 3 small dots in it's bottom right corner when you're viewing it in the sequencer. This means it is a comp-mode clip. The second is, if you right-click on an audio clip and see "enable stretching" as an option in the center area of the window that pops up. This means that audio stretching is disabled for the clip and this is generally what the in-line editor is for, so this is why it would be bypassed and the comp-editor opens when double-clicking a clip.
You can see this explained visually in the first few minutes of this tutorial I've done on using the comp-editor:
