Israel may not walk into 'permanent' peace deal without careful thought. Remnants of Hamas militants will still remain. There will be doubts about their using the truce to regroup. Even minors have reportedly been radicalised by Hamas. So peace could be hard to come by for another two generations of Palestinians. Also, if a group within Hamas opposes peace, a splinter group could form and continue violence.
