this was super helpful! I saw a number of videos by folks who hadn’t used a theremin before so your review is a lot more relevant. I’ve been wanting a theremin for a while and sounds like this isn’t the best choice for a starter but super cool to see the rad and wacky sounds you can get out of it!
Very cool overview of the Theremin! Checking in to see what other folks are doing with it, so glad to find your channel! I'm really digging mine and I recently made a track/video running it through my favorite distortion pedal! 🤘🐀
I appears to be both a pitch only theremin and a Tannerin (aka electro-theremin, what the Beach Boys used on Good Vibrations) combined in one box, and one can also modulate the other, besides just mixing them, so that is pretty cool for complex and weird sounds and noises. It has a lot more options than the Zep or Widara Distant Voices pitch only theremins.
i am still waiting to receive mine to compare to my stylophone. i kinda got this more to see hat happens when you get two thremeins close together. ive heard it does weird stuff with the fields and makes them almost fight with each other sort of. so i am planning on tying the stylophone one to the ceiling and swinging it around my claravox and maybe running all that through some effects just to see what noises happen

If it has an output, you could run it through an amp and potentially use a volume pedal to control the volume. Just an idea.
