I can't stress enough how happy I am that a human has run a Theremin into a rat pedal and while conducting rodent activities! I was here to get excited about an impending Theremin delivery, and stayed for the brilliant music at the end! :)
I've been researching the Stylo Therimin and stumbled upon your video. I'm also a fan of Josh over at JHS in Kansas City. I subscribed to your channel after you put on the rat head and got weird!! Hahahaa. Looking forward to more creative videos. Keep up the good work! Peace from Detroit. ✌
Such an amazing comment to see!!! Really appreciate it!! So glad you enjoyed this and dig the mask!!! And the Theremin is a great addition to the Lab, such a fun piece of gear to mess with. I've always wanted a Theremin, and I think this scratched the itch!! 😁 Thanks so much for the sub, lots more mad rat science coming soon!! 🙏🤘🐀
Wow, this is cool on multiple levels! That’s excellent about the pedal! And the shirt! Nice of JHS to do that. And then the sound of the theremin through the Packrat: right away it had me thinking of Mike Schank screaming in American Movie, haha! Even Mario looked like he was in shock. It sounds great in the context of the other instruments, too! I enjoyed that demo. And finallly, bonus points for “theremax”. 😄 Super video!
How crazy is that shirt?! lol Oh man, I think it was pure coincidence BUT you know I had to roll with it!!! 🤣 And appreciate the super killer comment man!! Happy you dig the results of this experiment and our track To the THEREMAX hahaha We had to do it!!! Thank you so much for always being here dude!!!! 🙌🙏🐀
Pro level work on this video Labrat, looks great and great explanations & demonstrations! Looks super fun to play with the combo of em and loved the track at the end 👌🔥👏
Thanks a lot! So glad to see you enjoyed this lil experiment! And yes, you have to get one, sooooo fun to mess with and it sounds friggin incredible!! 🙏🤘🐀
Scarier than the scariest music you can listen to in this time of Halloween! 😂😂😂When I get home tonight I'll let my six cats listen to your video, then I'll tell you the reaction🤣 Powerful final demo music and it's really nice to see you in person! 🤗🎃🙀
@@LabRatWarfare Well, I made my cats listen to your video.... Out of six, one ran away terrified after I put the smartphone in his kennel. The other five looked at me sympathetically and then continued sleeping. I have to try again with my wife at 03:00 a.m......
Like the video. I didn't know Stylophone did a Theremin until now. I have a Moog Theremini, that I got ages ago and haven't really used much. I'll have to get it out of the box and start waving my hands around more than I usually do.
Absolutely add your Moog Theremini to your set up, would be killer!! And yes the Stylophone one is new and so friggin fun to mess about with! Appreciate you checking out the video, glad you dig!! 🙏🤘🐀
Thanks so much Laurie!! You know I had to crawl out of the underground for this one lol There's more cheese hidden in our fur, hahaha, appreciate you tuning in!!! 🙏❤️🐀
They're fun and a killer addition to anyone's lab! I also think it would be killer to run the Theremin through some other pedals and make some Ambient music with it too. More experiments incoming! 😁🙏🤘🐀
@@LabRatWarfare I still need a Christmas gift for me :) In my band, we have a running gag that our imaginary bandleader, who never shows up for any gigs, plays the theremin as his main instrument.
Appreciate you watching! Very glad you enjoyed! And I definitely filmed a bunch of footage for this, probably too much lol So you can certainly expect to hear some more Theremin lab tests using different distortion modes from the PackRa! Will probably make them into some YT Shorts in the near future! 😁🤘🙏🐀
Ryan. I love that T shirt. I love the PackRat pedal. I love the Stylophone Theremin. I love the rats. This video was absolutely delicious. I need all of these things in my house. And that missile launch thing from James Bond with sliders on in the background too. OK I might get Mrs Martin the Theremin for Christmas... but I will need to test it, a great deal. I made it all the way, please make more things like this.
Will do sir!! And seriously thank you for always being here and showing support man! 🙏 I hope she gets that Theremin too! Hahaha * And I know JHS didn't make that pedal or shirt for us, but with the way they marketed the thing in their ads and everything... I had to roll with it! 😂 I just hope that if someone from JHS ever sees this video, they can see the tongue in my cheek! 🤣 🐀
hey - respect! PackRat white pedal ...for Lab Rat - sounds great. I still have the Theremin on my wishlist... but oh lord, so much gear 🤣😮 already 🙈 and a face for your channel! Nicely done! enjoy and regards Rodney 👍
My favorite thing about Rats is just how thin and harsh the sound can get while still sounding tasteful, and the theremin is a tremendous example. Yet another demonstration that everything needs a built-in delay and that delay should go into distortions.
Such an awesome comment! 🙏 Delay and distortion are my two favorite effects haha 😆 Really appreciate you watching, very happy to see you enjoyed this lil episode of mad rat science! 😁🐀
Awesome dude! I gotta check that out for myself! I remember seeing Rich Ward from Stuck Mojo/Fozzy mess with one and thought they were killer ever since! 🤟😝🤘🐀🐀🐀🗝️🗝️🗝️
Thank you man!!!! And yaaasss, this thing is sooooo friggin fun!! Will certainly be conducting some more experiments with my new lab equipment!! 😁🤘🙏🗝️🐀
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment, really appreciate you! And yes, the Theremin will be worth the wait, a lovely addition to anyone's Lab! 😁 And I couldn't believe they made this shirt and marketed their pedal like that! 😆 I had to make the video and roll with it!! 🤣🙏🐀
This pedal contains NINE RATS inside!! 😆Luckily the metal enclosure prevents them from gnawing out and destroying your laboratory. That's the Theremin's job! 😆
I used to do these kinda experiments with the stylophone beatbox till it broke 🤔 Has reminded me to buy a new one & have some lofi fun rather than lusting after 2k synths! Appreciated 🤛
Haha, yes the cheaper gear works just as well! 😆 And that's wild you broke your beatbox lol I've been thinking about nabbing one of those too.. I bet I'd eventually break mine as well tho 🤣 Appreciate you watching!! 🙏🐀
I reckon to really tip the pedal over the edge a cv input or lfo for the rat version select knob would be awesome.. Still sounds awesome as is though 👌
@LabRatWarfare thanks i have my moments! 😂. Im just dipping my toes into eurorack so now im starting to look at all those cv exp inputs on my old guitar pedals ive never really used & its breathed new life into them!!!
