We were under a tornado warning and I remember hearing tree limbs fall on our house as the high winds associated with the severe storms were blowing. The power outage it caused lasted a long time. In fact, by this particular time this video was being recorded, our power still had yet to be restored. George Elliot mentions the storm damage in the southeast at 11:58. I went to the window and it looked scary as the trees were really blowing. Power was finally restored after midnight Saturday night into early Sunday; nearly 24 hours without electricity. Damage in Tuscaloosa is shown at 1:22:06. Also, while Cindy Preszler is showing the jet stream pattern for the following Thursday, February 15, 1990 at 37:12, she says there will be a system across the southeast very similar to what was seen earlier this day, Saturday, 2/10/1990, and she was right.
