One one hand, I immediately got the sarcasm and I don't think she hates her fellow label groups (she's friends with Jihoon from Treasure and loves 2NE1), however I think it was irresponsible of her. Why out of all the positive comments about her she responds to this comment? Look at her account she never responds, yet for that one? Furthermore, most of the groups mentioned were her seniors and you know how Koreans take the age hierachy very seriously. Thirdly, she basically made that hate tweet valid, and fed into the hate train that has been going for a lot of these groups (especially Bigbang and Treasure) which is not ok. Obviously she realised she made a mistake and deleted the tweet, but what about the repercussion of her careless actions? The multiple fanwars and hate comments people are sending each other? Yet she did not display any of those qualities in that response. I like Somi and I still do, but instead of defending her label mates she used sarcasm.

thats twitter for you. somi in this situation is practically innocent and most fans who dont spend their entire lives on twitter found no issue with it. but also taking into account the hate against a lot of the groups mentioned in the hate tweet, it was a (not to sound harsh) careless move. its truly sad but its reality.

I think what the op meant from my understanding is that JYPE should focus on producing songs that please fans first as these groups are losing loyal fans at a fast rate and many fans are leaving the fandom. Their music quality is NOT what it used to be in the past. It is downgraded in a sense that not many enjoy the group's song like they did in past.
Many non fans even likes the artist's songs in the past but now not even many in their own fandom like their music quality. This is honestly sad and disheartening.

Somi really is showing her Canadian Dutch roots with her blunt attitude and we Dutch K-POP fans appreciate Somi for it. We're proud of her being part of our culture too, and it boils my blood every time when she is acting more like a European or references her European roots. Not because of her, but because of the fans reactions. From moments like these, to the fans dunking on her for 'trying so hard to appeal to Americans with her music', when she's embracing being half-Dutch. Back in her I.O.I days she literally had an interview with a Dutch local magazine where she expressed it was her dream to perform in The Netherlands someday and that she feels connected to our culture too. She's not a stereotypical K-POP idol because she's biracial and people should accept that.

If JYP want to make a group like SM it would not just include new gens. It's getting annoying that other gens keep being forgotten in these groups and any other aspect of kpop. It should include someone from Wonder girls and Miss A and so it will never happen as they have left the company

They should charge all the sasaengs hanging outside Jungkook’s home with stalking as well. Maybe a year in jail will discourage them from invading his privacy to that extent. They practically mob him at the airport as well, bodyguards or not. And with K-pop on the rise and more and more idols becoming popular, SK needs to enact harsher laws to protect them.

One one hand, I immediately got the sarcasm and I don't think she hates her fellow label groups (she's friends with Jihoon from Treasure and loves 2NE1), however I think it was irresponsible of her. Why out of all the positive comments about her she responds to this comment? Look at her account she never responds, yet for that one? Furthermore, most of the groups mentioned were her seniors and you know how Koreans take the age hierachy very seriously. Thirdly, she basically made that hate tweet valid, and fed into the hate train that has been going for a lot of these groups (especially Bigbang and Treasure) which is not ok. Obviously she realised she made a mistake and deleted the tweet, but what about the repercussion of her careless actions? The multiple fanwars and hate comments people are sending each other? Her getting no accountability leaves a slightly bitter taste in my mouth, as if I knew it was a Treasure member or Bang Chan responding in the same way, people would have torn them apart. If any other fan feels disrespected because that person is thrown hate towards their artist or group, she isn't the issue, that person is.
