I don’t think that you hitting a cat, which is what he hit in the video, is in any way the opposite of taking your dog to the vet. The expectation Is that his dog would be getting taken care of, so there has to be some correlation to that idea in order to be considered ironic. A cat just is an animal that you happen to have killed now, which admittedly is peculiar, but it doesn’t alter that his dog is going to the vet, or subvert that in any way really.
