I love watching these races! Twice as many cars that should be running at one time, all the obstacles and the complete chaos at times is just fun to watch. I am sure it is somewhere between pure fun and absolute nervousness running in them!! Congrats on the win as well, that is awesome!
It's hilarious!! 😂 The qualifying rounds are chaotic enough with eight drivers on the track, but with each successive Main (D - C - B) the drivers with the most points get promoted to the next Main. So, even if you had a run of bad luck in qualifying and ended up in the D main, you could still win it, get into the C Main, with that and get into the B Main and so on... And that's not all. Right before the final A Main, they have a "Zombie Race" which is basically everyone who isn't in the A Main gets one final chance to run. This time there were 18 buggies on track! Win the Zombie Race and you're in the A Main. That happens quite often - indeed a young girl did that very thing on this round! 👍😁 I think it is this kind of fun racing that can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of age, skill and budget that is essential for the long term survival of the hobby.
@@KaiCityRC That last part of your reply is the main reason I plan on building an off road track in my backyard and hosting races similar to this, low cost of entry to off road racing for anyone to enjoy. Off road rc racing in my city/state is almost non existent and the TT-02B i think is a great platform to introduce off road racing without breaking the bank.
@@msah6298 Thanks! The TT-02B is a great basis for any budget race series. On my recent trip to the G Force Cup, the under ¥20,000 class was filled to capacity. By far the most popular choice for that class was the TT-02B. 👍
Thanks! The organizers at Carnosa RC Park want to make racing accessible to everyone, so costs are minimized. The TT-02B, despite being a budget kit, is very capable. We all run 540 silver cans, stock gearing and tires. The races don't require any kind of transponder either. It's very laid back and great fun too! 😁 In addition to the TT-02B Cup, there is also a Grasshopper Cup and for 2024, an RR (rear motor & rear wheel drive) Cup.
Thanks. Truth be told I've been lacking motivation to produce videos lately. Being super busy at work hasn't helped either. 😩 I got a friendly reminder from TH-cam the other day suggesting it's about time I uploaded something, so here it is. Certainly not one of my better efforts that's for sure. 😅 But with upcoming arrival of the Optima Pro, Dirt Cross and the G Force Competition Cup, hopefully that'll get me motived. 😊
Thanks Craig. I've been lacking motivation on the TH-cam front recently and hadn't planned to upload a video, so the footage isn't very good. 😞 But given the (unexpected!) win and a friendly reminder from TH-cam that it's been a while since I uploaded, I threw this together. 👍
@@KaiCityRC I feel that David!! Just spent the last two hours editing the next time trial for the OR. All those camera angles and voice overs all take time. I appreciate your efforts though pal when you can. Still think you put out some of the best RC content out there 👍🏻

Congrats on the first place podium placement!
Thanks!
I love the fact that you guys are racing entry level buggies. Looks like so much fun!

Love the TT02B content! Hoping for some race reports 😎

Great looking cars. Man I wish Tamiya would make some serious racing buggies again.
Agreed!
Sweet run bud. Love the TT-02b...
Thanks 👍
David, congratulations on winning the race!
Thank you!
Great video David with some lovely footage. Many congratulations on the first place dude 🙌🏻🎉

@@KaiCityRC great to see you out there and still enjoying RC David. TH-cam can be a slog at times so just do it when it feels good pal 🙌🏻
Thanks. Yeah, it's not the filming, it's everything that comes after that - editing, thumbnails, uploading etc that takes so much time.
