Cleaning house - like decluttering - is a fantastic way to get exercise. Exercise doesn't have to be running on a treadmill or grunting to pick up iron weights. Instead, cleaning, doing chores, decluttering, rearranging, etc., is a great way to get in steps and movement AND it has a purpose! Since May I've been doing a lot more cleaning, including my car, detailing, decluttering, etc., and have lost 20 pounds! The extra steps have gone so far! Great job to Sherri and ositive encouragement to anyone looking to declutter or lose a little weight! 💜
Before you put anything back please get some doors for the closet. That will help with her vision of clean and tidy and calming. Also it leaves less space to pile things as opossed to the curtains.
I kinda like the drama of the curtains and they match the bed that matches the art. I can imagine Sherri snatching open those curtains and deciding just how fabulous she is going to dress for the day.
This is true, I second this. Doors would look so much better and because you have to put more effort physically and more effort in your mind when you want to put something in or take out, this will help the endless cycle of dumping random things that don’t belong in the closet
I'm stuck in an apartment that won't take up old carpet and I am so over it! That is my weekend project (again) cleaning the stupid carpet. If I have a choice never again
I think if she organise her clothing by colour she will have the idea of the amount of each colour clothing she has. She is very sweet person. You both are.

The upstairs neighbors had a fire recently. We had to remove everything from both of our kids' rooms so the contractors could rip out their ceilings. It was a great chance to do a major declutter of the kids' belongings. After all the construction is done and they can move everything back in, we will do another pass through of their items. I call it a blessing in disguise.
Thank you for your patience, and kindness toward your sister, I have to admit I could not do this. There is so many people giving love and support, I am hoping she sees and acknowledged all the help. Love and blessing to all.🙏💟.
Suggestion: take one of the closet curtains to a paint store and have them mix that color into white paint to whatever degree and depth of color you want the walls to be. It’s amazing how everything pulls together when you have a few drops of the intense color mixed in with white!

Sherri literally let you declutter a box and…she’s decluttering even more. This is exactly what happens every time you declutter. You come to slow realizations about what really matters in your life. Time becomes far more valuable and we realize how important having less frees up our time. Time to do nothing or something that doesn’t involve upkeep of things. That’s a huge bed for one woman. I know things are bigger in America but she would have much more space if she treated herself to a new smaller bed and mattress.

According to Wiki, popcorn ceilings were used to give ceilings texture and also for sound-deadening properties. Originally popular in bedrooms and apartment hallways. Your questioning it made me look into it. 😂
I had all the popcorn ceilings removed after 30 years in our home. You can't clean it. The popcorn covered up bad construction in some areas. My poor contractor had to redo several door frames. I don't miss the popcorn at all. It's horrible.
That is exactly what I am getting from these episodes peace and motivation. I play it in the background sometimes. It motivates me not to clutter and, to get rid of things and to go excercise for some reason as a part of motivation. LOL.
Sherri did awesome going through those clothes. She is a brave woman doing it on your channel. From experience I will tell you letting go of "stuff" is so freeing. It will increase your joy,every time you realize you have less to manage. Great job ladies!

Sherri’s back!!!! That’s a really interesting point you made about simplicity, i.e. not having a ton of plants to take care of, like Becky, because you already have Samson, so you don’t want to have more responsibilities like that at this time. It’s a big thing to be honest with yourself about what you actually want right now and not just fall into things because it’s trendy or it’s what your friend is doing or it’s why you think you ought to want right now. And that’s they key to having a creating a beautiful home!
I actually like her turquoise decor…and the flower picture. She can reuse a lot of it in her newly spruced up room, rather than spending money on all new stuff.
I loved the way you guys kept saying..in the office! I remember how cluttered that room was before with food tins etc. Glad to see it could fit a whole mattress shows how Sherri has kept on top of things…kudos 🎉

I love that reluctance showed, but then reality checked in, and she said donate it. I hope she feels so good that over time, her whole house gets simplified and comfortable. My parents home had them and they had gold sparkles in them. My home has textured ceilings. Neither bothered me. I actually liked the gold sparkles. 😅

Awesome start to a great new project - Sherri's new bedroom. Just watching you breakdown and clearout her bedroom was fun and satisfying to watch. You two are hilarious and wonderful together. That’s a really interesting point you made about simplicity, i.e. not having a ton of plants to take care of, like Becky, because you already have Samson, so you don’t want to have more responsibilities like that at this time. It’s a big thing to be honest with yourself about what you actually want right now and not just fall into things because it’s trendy or it’s what your friend is doing or it’s why you think you ought to want right now. And that’s they key to having a creating a beautiful home!

I actually like her turquoise decor…and the flower picture. She can reuse a lot of it in her newly spruced up room, rather than spending money on all new stuff.

I have herniated disc’s in my lower back from doing my bedroom make over single handed. Never again will I be so silly it’s been two years of chronic pain. Guess I learn the hard way. I love your sister. She is so me. I am proud of her, and her fresh new bedroom will be such a joy to her. Sherri was showing her strong declutter muscles as she whipped through her closet. Go Girl! I love that reluctance showed, but then reality checked in, and she said donate it. I hope she feels so good that over time, her whole house gets simplified and comfortable. It’s a great lesson for her daughter to see mom making life so much easier by clearing the clutter. Can’t wait for the next episode. This lovely woman deserves a beautiful serene bedroom. Hugs Judy
