Thanks again to my sister Sherry (and fam) for being SUCH good sports. Sherry is on her journey from hoarding to minimalism (ish)...we are slowly making progress after tackling this garage. Keep comments kind and respectful and if you have nothing good to say keep it movin 😄. Love you thanks for watching and if you are gonna try Factor and want 50% off use my code: bit.ly/3Hf7qKw! thanks so much❤❤❤ Like, comment subscribe and there's a playlist now called Whole House Declutter with all her episodes...more to come!🥳
I absolutely love this series and love the relationship you and your sister have. It reminds me of me and my sister (and her basement is worse than your sister's garage... plus, we'll have to carry it up 😫). Big love to your family and everyone chipping in to get this done in TWO days! Absolutely amazing and inspiring. 💥
This is an amazing gift you have provided to your family by spearheading this project. Thank you for the motivation to let go of things I no longer need!
When I first saw the dumpster i thought I wonder why they got such a big one. Maybe it’s for the whole house? Boyyyyyyy was that garage deceiving. Fantastic job Sherry! That was so much work!
Thank you son in law for participating. A pleasant attitude and muscle were a blessing to the cleaning project. Love to all on the project from Minnesota.
Can you thank you sister & nieces for being so vulnerable and opening up their home and wares to the world! 🩷 You all done so well 🙏🏽🎉 You & your family have inspired me to confront my own clutter in a non judgemental way and to process the grief/emotions that come from compulsive spending. Thank you again & give our fur nephew a big hug for being the sweetest baby 🥰✨
I felt this entire video in my soul 😢 When my mother in law passed the house the barn and the yard were just like this! It took us 4 years 4 dumpsters 2 trailer loads to the dump 2 regular garbage totes every week for an entire year! Countless things Donated ... Sold ... Put to the street for people to take and we still have things that are in our garage and shed to go through in the spring. The time.. the decisions as to where everything should go was/ is so overwhelming. I now declutter daily so my children don't have to do it when I'm gone. Having order is the best gift you can give your children when you're gone ❤
This is awesome… The whole process, cleaning, decluttering, reclaiming personal space, bonding, new appreciations and perspectives, being fair and kind to self, reasoning, accepting, letting go… It’s simply magical. Carla… You’re AWESOME! I admire and respect you as always. Sherry… I’m SO PROUD of you Sis. You’re making GREAT STRIDES. Continue to enjoy and appreciate the process! 👍🏾♥️🩶🤍👏🏾 Everyone pitched to get the job done! Teamwork makes the dream work!
Love how everyone pitched in to clean up. You are so right about the costs of impulse buying. I hope that this puts them on the path to living with less. You are a terrific sister.
What I love so much about watching this series: 1 Your family’s wonderful love and support for each other 2 Your sister’s decision to completely change her quality of life for the far better. I truly believe as long as we are on earth we can completely change our lives. We just have to make the decision.
I'm glad you stuck it out despite the heat. Her garage wasn't even functional before. What a labor of love and so worth it. So glad you had some helpers. I hope your sister is really shifting her mindset and priorities in life. This is so healthy!!!!
“It’s like trying to drain the ocean”; love your sense of humor! You are the best Sister and it is wonderful to see your loving interactions. Keep up this necessary and good work.
I myself am a recovery hoarder, so I understood the blood, sweat, and tears in decluttering, cleaning, and organizing. I hope you can visit your sister every year to do the same until she's confident enough to declutter on a regular basis.
You kept your sister going - kept handing her things, forcing her to make decisions, and guiding her when she needed it. And your brother in law did the heavy work. So much accomplished, great job everyone.
Fun family. Decluttering is hard and your sis is doing a great job. She’s gonna have to do numerous passes throughout the years but it’ll be well worth it. Thank goodness her sis helped make it an easier process.
I just love how you both tackle these decluttering projects with humor and patience. Looking forward to watching this one, Carla! Best wishes from Holland 😊
YAAAAAYYYY (people cheering) CAR-LA! CAR-LA! I'm really loving these big sister little sister videos ❤️❤️❤️ you gals are more brave and courageous than you know 💎🥰
As an adult who doesn't have any sisters, I get misty eyes watching you with your sisters! How much lighter does your sister feel with everything that is leaving her garage?! I currently have a garage and three rooms filled with boxes from my parents home. When I boxed it up, I was miserable in my job and I wanted EVERYTHING! I have a new job, my work stress is minimal and now I'm able to tackle my parents belongings.
Your comment & this video reinforces my belief that hoarding is inter generational! It’s often triggered by the death of loved ones & ‘inheriting’ their belongings (aka junk) It’s hard to break the cycle 😔 A ‘legacy’ of a cluttered hoard is a heavy load to bear!
The amount of work you got done in two days is impressive. I'm glad they are all getting on board with this motivation to declutter as a family. Hopefully they can encourage each other to maintain it going forward.
The life changing magic of Carla. ❤. What a fantastic transformation. 👏 You all worked so hard and well done to your sister and family for their ruthless declutter.
I have nothing but admiration for you, your sis and family for persevering through a major decluttering project in extreme heat‼️🥵 Moreover, Sherry's commitment to change is extremely noteworthy and applaudable. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 What family cooperation‼️ I'm in awe of all of you.....the GUTS it took to be so transparent and vulnerable. 💯 I'm so grateful and inspired by witnessing this miraculously effective garage transformation❣️👍🏻🥹🥰
This is a true expression of love- what you did for your sister. Inspiring! Mi would love a video on the bag of stuff you took home! Love to see little treasure found within all the trash.
I think the more we all get away from heavy consumption the better we feel. I used to shop for wardrobe items years ago and never consistently use most of it. This is such a hard step for your family and you supporting them with this is really what is heart warming about this whole series. There’s some deeper sides to all of this consumption but this is a great step in the best direction. I am sending you all positive, clutter free vibes for the all of the years to come ❤❤❤❤❤❤
What incredibly hard work! Kudos to Sherry, Carla and family for this major accomplishment. That must have been exhausting mentally and physically. Hope Sherry is so proud! 🥰
“Rethinking all my life choices”….. with the zoom in on your face…😂😂😂 that moment made me laugh out loud. Honestly, this whole video had me giggling. I love the energy you have with your sister and the rest of your family.❤ Pretty impressive amount of stuff you tackled. Awesome job, Sherry and Carla!
Sherry was so great with letting things go! Many people who have material items to this degree will fight others tooth and nail, but she was such a team player about this :)
Almost done helping my friend decluttering her whole home. We just finished her craft room and have started doing a little organizing just to give her decision fatigue a break. She, like your sister, was so happy to have her spaces cleared. Great work from all four of you. Room to breathe😁
I admire sooo much about your process. I respect the fact that you keep the expectations based in reality! Not everything has to be perfect like we all continually see on instagram or Pinterest. this is what is realistic for this family with room to improve.
This is amazing progress! Your sister is a hoarder for sure but it's phenomenal how far she's come. Clear ZONES are going to be crucial when it comes to organizing this garage. Definitely more decluttering to do, but once you get to organizing I'd suggest a peg board or open shelving for tools. This family will absolutely forget what's inside of those drawer units and/or never put them away after use.
Tears in my eyes, when i see how respectful, friendly and helpful you sisters treat each other. Hope my girls will also so helpful and support each other, when they ara adult. Your Mama did agreat job. ❤❤❤
That is quite the labour you did! Your sister is doing so well with this and it’s brave of her to share her situation with all of us. You guys are the best for helping her the way you did. You can actually have a dance party in the garage! ❤
One thing that people don't think about is that storage causes you to store things. Limit your storage capacity so you'll let things go. My garage is a minimalist space. Keep up the good work, Carla and family. Good luck
The fact that your sister trusts you and is so willing to get rid of stuff! I hope this helps her feel lighter, happier and less burdened. God Bless You Both - Amazing Transformation ❤
I recently discovered your channel and I’m thoroughly enjoying your content - especially the episodes with your sister. The way you two work together and speak WITH one another is lovely. It honest and kind, vulnerable without being raw. I’m rooting for y’all’s success while secretly dreading the conclusion of this shared project. Much love and well wishes. ❤
I laughed too hard when you found that ‘bag of bags’ I recently moved my mother into my home after I found her semi conscious in bed with influenza that had turned into pneumonia. While she was in hospital my daughters, son and son in laws and myself moved her out of her house in one day! To say she is a hoarder is an understatement and amongst many other items that are now in my garage waiting to be sorted was about 15 ‘bags of bags’ my daughters and I literally sat on the floor crying tears of laughter when we actually found a ‘box of bags’ as well. 😂🤣
What a wonderful journey. Everyone seems to be so on board and my goodness how helpful James was!!! He worked so hard. This experience was very relaxing for myself as a viewer and I so appreciate you all for keeping it real. Thank you for sharing!
I love your relationship with your sister; you're so respectful and manage to have chuckles together. I feel sad for her that all that $ is gone, but all she can do is go forward, and she is. All the respect!! 🤗
I have a single car garage and it looked like this a couple of weeks ago. It took me 3 days to clean it out. I got tickled when it was said “so I won’t have to buy duplicates”. This is why I have 3 drills! But I can park my car in my garage now.
Omg that "rethinking all my life choices" part made me laugh out loud...sorry that was funny! 😂 I know that was a ROUGH job for all in that heat and no air moving in the garage. 🥵💖
Bravo for sticking with it in the heat. And bravo to the fam for being willing to make hard decisions and get rid of stuff! When you first showed that big dumpster I thought there was no way you'd need one that big--I was so wrong!!
I’m impressed with how well you all handled this together with such great attitudes toward each other and the situation. Usually when someone has to help a hoarder clan up- they’re not happy and it definitely shows and the hoarder is struggling before anything happens. You all did really well.
Carla wow. You are so incredible for helping your sister like this. This series has been my favorite so far on your channel. You are so inspiring. Truly. I cannot wait to see her whole house after you've hit every room and corner. This is truly remarkable. I hope a TV show sees this.
Wow!!!That is a lot of hard work. I have been in that situation with my parents. One of the big bedrooms in their house was full to tje ceiling with all kinds of stuff. Thats when I undedstood why that bedroom was always locked.. It took my brother, my mom and me 3 DAYS to clear that bedroom. I knew my parents were pack rats but I never knew to what extend.. I don't think my parents ever donated anything or gave anyone anything. There was new stuff in that bedroom from the 1960s and 1970s. UNBELIEVABLE! Then trying to get my mom to part with the stuff was another challenge. My god!! It was so hard because she did not want to get rid of anything. In the end it worked out BUT MY MOM still has a lot of stuff. With that being said you guys all did a great job!!! A hard job especially in the heat but a great job. Found this video by chance so I subscribed to your channel😊.
“Should we be having a yard sale?” Carla: “NO” shut that sh*t down lol. My mom and I used to have yard sales and would make a lot of money, but as we get older it’s just not worth it anymore. Just sell the items worth selling and get rid of the rest! Love this series btw! Can’t wait for more 😊
That was epically awesome You, Sherry and her lovely family were so focused and determined. You did it! That was a fun and inspiring video. Looking forward to more.
I helped a friend clean out a garage like this. Everything we were getting rid of we put at the end of the road. Posted on our local Buy Nothing Facebook group that we were having a "driveway giveaway" Folks just came buy and helped themselves. We didnt have to wait for pickups or drop anything off. By the end of the evening, everything we put out there was gone. Great job
This is beyond incredible. WELL DONE SHERRY for letting so much go. Well done everyone. Also awesome that you posted all that free stuff. I know tossing it would have been way easier!!! I am so proud lol and I hope this Sherry series continues..
This was just the motivation I needed today to help my parents declutter their pantry. You inspire in ways that make large daunting projects feel manageable! Thanks Carla and Sherry, and great work!!
My gosh! That garage is wild! Looks incredibly overwhelming, and exemplifies how helpful it is for folks like me to have your help with similar projects.
My 3rd time watching on July 4, 2024 at 11:12am. At 18:45, I laughed myself SILLY. YOU CAN TELL THAT YOUR SISTER IS SO TIRED THAT SHE JUST WAVES AWAY THE THINGS THAT JAMES HAS IN HIS HAND. I HAVE LAUGHED SO HARD. ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR SISTER. I WISH YOU COULD HEAR ME LAUGHING! 🤣😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 X1000.
Absolutely amazing and Its got the Samson seal of approval!❤ As soon as the garage door opened, I felt overwhelmed for you guys! You all had such a positive attitude and I loved how determined you were! Thank you tor taking us along in this journey. God bless and cheers from Ontario Canada. ❤❤😘
Thank you Sherry for being willing to share this. It is daunting to do, but y'all powered through!!! Thank you Carla for helping your sister through the process and doing it in such a respectful way. This was kindness from all and so encouraging for many!!!
THANK YOU Carla! I found your delcuttering videos while watching your minimalist travel tips. You are an inspiration and your calm perseverance is AMAZING! I've been downsizing for the past 2 years and it's no joke! Lifetimes of STUFF and way more to go, but I persist! Every week trash, donate or keep. Thank you again and I'm watching all your videos to stay inspired. The sentimental items are hardest, but I can do it. I do one round and then go back...and back...and back! I've also become a capsule wardrobe person and have donated almost everything! More to go there too - shoes and bags LOL. Thank you again so so much ❣❣❣
I love, love your channel because you show us real life and not try to sell us an aesthetic of what an organized, minimal home should look like. Thanks for keeping it real and thanks to your sister for opening her home to us ❤
carla’s psychology makes so much sense now - she was raised in a traumatic house of hoarding and clutter, and now it is her passion to teach people how to be organized. ❤
Carla!! You are an Angel on earth. You can see the Love that you have for your family. I do want to encourage your sister to rethink all of those items she wanted to hold onto with one thought in mind.. when she passes away who will want/ be responsible for keeping all of those items? I know it’s not something we want to think about, but it is a part of our life cycle. The next declutter session should be with the mindset of letting go of items that won’t be of use to her children and prevent them the daunting task of cleaning up during an emotionally charged time. I was very appreciative of my my Mom doing a big cleanup and purge before succumbing to her illness. I didn’t have to struggle with grieving and deciding what to keep or get rid of. By far this is one of your best videos! Please continue to visit and bring us along on future declutter sessions for your sister. Thank you so very much for sharing. 🥰🍄
I just love your family and you are such a compassionate, hard working and excellent organizer. Sherry is doing an amazing job and your family support is awesome. I love that you bring humor to it and have a way of making a tough job fun even though it sure looked hot! Great job everyone ❤
Carla bless you for your kindness in helping your sister. You are making a huge difference in her and the rest of your family’s life. I enjoy watching her decluttering journey ❤
Your sister reminds me of my parents. I've helped them but they have so much stuff. It doesn't happen overnight. I've also decluttered my home. I never want to hoard again in my life. Just like it took me 2 years to lose 80lbs. I've never gaining the weight again. Americans, we have too much stuff. The urge to limit buying has to be strong.
🤯Well done to you, Carla, and everyone, this was a humongous task. I can feel the new energy this process is bringing to the family and am positive they'll be able to breathe much easier ☺Hopefuly the new habits will stick 🤞Thanks to your sister for being this vulnerable and continuing to share her journey ❤
Phew - this gave me anxiety just watching it. Cleaning and/or moving is such a wake-up call for how much we acquire. It is so so easy to do, and it does sneak up on you. Great work!
AMAZING! Watched it twice over the past few months . Your family did a wonderful job! Hopefully, making this space functional and easier to manage will encourage Sherry to make more positive changes to her home.
Sherry is a star. Enjoyed the fun dynamic between you both in these last videos and all the family working & laughing
together❤
You're and amazing sister. I know this was a long hot day but you pushed threw and they were able to let alot of stuff go. Enjoyed watching.
Sisters are the best. Awesome to watch y’all get it ..sorted out.. Good work ladies.
Now I understand why you were questioning her each time she wanted to put something in the garage 😆 She's doing such good work!
Lol, right! I thought the same exact thing when I saw the garage.
When I first saw the dumpster i thought I wonder why they got such a big one. Maybe it’s for the whole house? Boyyyyyyy was that garage deceiving. Fantastic job Sherry! That was so much work!
So deceiving!!
Me too!
Right? I thought they same thing. But you guys nailed it.
Same!
😂 Like what the heck?
Thank you son in law for participating. A pleasant attitude and muscle were a blessing to the cleaning project. Love to all on the project from Minnesota.
I think he was their brother as it came in the captions of the video...
I felt this entire video in my soul 😢
When my mother in law passed the house the barn and the yard were just like this!
It took us 4 years
4 dumpsters
2 trailer loads to the dump
2 regular garbage totes every week for an entire year!
Countless things
Donated ... Sold ... Put to the street for people to take and we still have things that are in our garage and shed to go through in the spring. The time.. the decisions as to where everything should go was/ is so overwhelming.

Thanks for the praise appreciate it❤️❤️❤️
I would love to see her house all decluttered and stay that way. She deserves to be happy and live in a serene house❤
Love how everyone pitched in to clean up. You are so right about the costs of impulse buying. I hope that this puts them on the path to living with less. You are a terrific sister.
What I love so much about watching this series:
1 Your family’s wonderful love and support for each other
2 Your sister’s decision to completely change her quality of life for the far better. I truly believe as long as we are on earth we can completely change our lives. We just have to make the decision.
This IS the best declutter series on TH-cam so far. I Love IT
I'm glad you stuck it out despite the heat. Her garage wasn't even functional before. What a labor of love and so worth it. So glad you had some helpers. I hope your sister is really shifting her mindset and priorities in life. This is so healthy!!!!

Yes this is just round one hopefully it becomes a new lifestyle!!
Loved that you guys had a sense of humor throughout! Really enjoying these decluttering series with your sister!
Thank you Sherry for allowing us into your home, it’s great motivation. Carla, thank you for helping your sister while respecting her boundaries😊
I just love how you both tackle these decluttering projects with humor and patience. Looking forward to watching this one, Carla!
Best wishes from Holland 😊

Yay, my weekly Samson sighting 🐶 You all kicked butt on the garage, great job!!!
My lil sidekick 😍
Love seeing Samson ❤
The life changing magic of Carla. ❤. What a fantastic transformation. 👏 You all worked so hard and well done to your sister and family for their ruthless declutter.
Aw thank you!!!
Your sister has such a sweet honest disposition 🤗
Cleaning like this is like shopping for things you know you already like because you already bought them. Enjoyed it.

Yes will share in a vlog this month!!
Carla you're a miracle worker. You're blessing so many people by doing this. I can't imagine how much relief they feel afterward.

Thank you Sherry for this epic episode! Also, it's crazy how much you and your family got done in this short amount of time
What incredibly hard work! Kudos to Sherry, Carla and family for this major accomplishment. That must have been exhausting mentally and physically. Hope Sherry is so proud! 🥰
Took days to recover 😅😅😅
Carla, I needed to recover after watching! That was a lot of work! You all did fantastic!!👏🏻
“Rethinking all my life choices”….. with the zoom in on your face…😂😂😂 that moment made me laugh out loud.
Honestly, this whole video had me giggling. I love the energy you have with your sister and the rest of your family.❤
Pretty impressive amount of stuff you tackled. Awesome job, Sherry and Carla!
They did amazing. So proud of your sister and her family. They really embraced this declutter.
Thank God for James, and all the neighbors who left with something
You inspired me to work on my closet yesterday! I tried on clothes got a bag to donate and dropped it off all in a few hours!
Amazing love this!!!

$600! That's a good night out with the whole family, dinner & concert/ball game. Or a weekend away!!!
Wow, decluttering like this is so life-changing! What a blessing for your sister. Y'all did amazing!
One thing that people don't think about is that storage causes you to store things. Limit your storage capacity so you'll let things go. My garage is a minimalist space. Keep up the good work, Carla and family. Good luck
Mad respect working in that heat. I couldn't physically do it without passing out, no exaggeration.
Truth!
The fact that your sister trusts you and is so willing to get rid of stuff! I hope this helps her feel lighter, happier and less burdened. God Bless You Both - Amazing Transformation ❤
You and your sister are just such a joy to watch. I like how you create a space and calm space for helping her let go of these extra things.

What a lovely family.
Oh my goodness, what a tremendous amount of hard work! It looks wonderful tho. I’m so happy for your sister and her “new” garage
To do hard labor on heat get a cotton scarf and wet it. Wrap around your neck and re-wet as needed. It does help a lot.
What a wonderful journey. Everyone seems to be so on board and my goodness how helpful James was!!! He worked so hard. This experience was very relaxing for myself as a viewer and I so appreciate you all for keeping it real. Thank you for sharing!
James kicked ASS in 90 degree heat.
He really did!!
I love your relationship with your sister; you're so respectful and manage to have chuckles together. I feel sad for her that all that $ is gone, but all she can do is go forward, and she is. All the respect!! 🤗

Can’t wait for more 😊
So impressed with your sister’s attitude and your patience and sense of humor. Love your family.
That was epically awesome
You, Sherry and her lovely family were so focused and determined. You did it! That was a fun and inspiring video. Looking forward to more.
I helped a friend clean out a garage like this. Everything we were getting rid of we put at the end of the road. Posted on our local Buy Nothing Facebook group that we were having a "driveway giveaway"
Folks just came buy and helped themselves. We didnt have to wait for pickups or drop anything off. By the end of the evening, everything we put out there was gone.
Great job
Looooove that!!
My gosh! That
garage is wild!
🥰❤️
I think i would have tossed everything and started over....take it down to the studs!
Fantastic effort. What a great family
Thank you again so so much ❣❣❣
Hi Carla & Sherry ❤ absolutely love this decluttering series 😂❤
The “ex husband ashes” part took me out😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💗💗
I love, love your channel because you show us real life and not try to sell us an aesthetic of what an organized, minimal home should look like. Thanks for keeping it real and thanks to your sister for opening her home to us ❤
Aw I wish y’all had sone air fans! I’m crazy over this series. Y’all are so warm to each other and it’s so lovely
carla’s psychology makes so much sense now - she was raised in a traumatic house of hoarding and clutter, and now it is her passion to teach people how to be organized. ❤
Sherry is so ooo sweet! Bless your heart Sherry.
Love love LOVE this series with your sister! gold
amazing job. and so much fun to watch
Carla bless you for your kindness in helping your sister. You are making a huge difference in her and the rest of your family’s life. I enjoy watching her decluttering journey ❤
I love your sisters goal of what she wants her garage to be. Basic, just wants to be able to find things
Having zones in the garage makes life easier. Laundry, yard stuff, tools, holiday decorations.
Watching you two has caused me to declutter my holiday decor!
Wow that was a super impressive declutter, crazy how denslay packad the garage was 😅 fantastic work 💖💖💖🍾🍾🍾
Super dense yes!!!
Well done! That was exhausting to watch🤣 but it does make me want to get rid of my storage unit!
GOOD JOB! love this series.
Phew - this gave me anxiety just watching it. Cleaning and/or moving is such a wake-up call for how much we acquire. It is so so easy to do, and it does sneak up on you. Great work!
I can't believe the amount of work you guys did-impressive! Thank you Sherry and family for sharing the process with us!
I loved it when she pulled a drill and then a woman's shoe out the same file cabinet drawer. Great job and everyone is so nice!
Lol 😂
You all did an unbelievably INCREDIBLE job! So awesome to see you all working together to make it happen ♡
AMAZING! Watched it twice over the past few months . Your family did a wonderful job! Hopefully, making this space functional and easier to manage will encourage Sherry to make more positive changes to her home.
