About 1/2 hour ago I happened upon your video from high school. Totally impressed. Then, this video. Eloquently expressed.

So happy for you. Thank you for telling your story. It’s so important that other young people hear these stories. I’m proud of you and you should be so proud of yourself

When expressing one's core self one need never apologize (nor argue.)

Oh man, I remember this one! You covered so many important aspects of coming out. 🌈
For all the ill effects of social media, the era that this originally came out on TH-cam was really special and good for the LGBTQIA+ community. These videos freed a lot of people, including me. ✌️

I saw your partner Matt's coming out video and found it inspiring. Yours too is also inspirational and reflects the truth that love has no gender and cannot be controlled. The struggles that so many of us have had derive entirely from cultural and religious beliefs that are imposed upon us from birth. I happen to believe that all religions are just fairy stories made up at the time as a way of controlling the people. They cannot all be right; but hey that is a distraction. It was truly heartening to see that Matt's video inspired you to meet and it was not so surprising to learn that two such kindred spirits would fall in love. You make a truly lovely couple and are clearly thoroughly nice people. Well done to you both.

As I commented on Matt’s video recently, I discovered both of you a couple of years after this video came out, and this may have been the first one of yours I saw. I’ve been following your journey together ever since, and I admire how honest and real the two of you are about the ups and the downs of your lives. Thanks for reposting this video and reminding me and others once again of where you started out and of the courage of both of you to decide to be your authentic selves.

For those who object to homosexuality on religious grounds: If God objects to homosexuality, how come he keeps making more of us? Or, perhaps, God is making mistakes in creating us? We are all made in His image, and God loves us as much as anyone else.

I whole heartedly endorse this message. I was raised in a small town and conservative Catholic family. So I felt isolated, scared and was in denial to admit I was gay and even dated women in college hoping everything would fall into place. Instead dating women just confirmed my worst fears but it also caused me to start coming out to myself which is always the first most difficult step in the process. After college I officially came out again by going to Studio One a large gay nightclub that used to be located in West Hollywood. I was terrified waiting in line to get in because I didn't know what to expect and had been taught that all gay men were pedophiles and sex perverts. But after paying the cover charge and walking up stairs I was shocked to discover a huge disco with couple of thousand other perfectly normal young guys like me who happened to be gay. That was an epiphany and literally the first day of the rest of my life. A great weight I had been burdened with for years suddenly lifted off my shoulders and after making so many new friends and lovers I soon realized that being gay wasn't a curse it was a blessing!

You are a terrific Kid and I'm proud of you for being true to yourself. I am the Mom of a gay son and he came out to us in November of 1999. He had made a promise to himself to tell us before the millennium. Neither my husband or myself could tell him anything more than that he was our son and we loved him unconditionally and always would. I. spent the next 5 years reading books and studying the gay community.
I believe you are born that way. I believe that the God of the universe made each one of us perfect in His sight. Who of us can question God's creation. Now I believe that we were all born into sin and that the God of all creation sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross to give us all eternal life. His only requirement is that we believe it. In the Bible, the first commandment Jesus gave all people is to Love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself. It also says that a man should not lay with another man nor should man have sex with any woman outside of marriage. But the God who made us promises to meet ALL our needs. That is true for heterosexuals and homosexuals. The Bible also says to not judge one another. The Lord God judges us with unconditional love in the end. These are my beliefs, I'm certainly not out to offend anyone.

So sweet. You're adorable and that video is wonderful. I am sorry to say it because I know it will upset many people, but religion is the root of most of the world's evil and hate. I denounced it when I was 13 (60 years ago). It was the best decision I ever could have made.

There is only a Jewish tribe which wrote its own rules 2600 years ago. I do not understand why we should be ruled by them now. You can read the Bible another way. People who talked about homosexuality 2600 years ago where compeled to criticize it, but when you are alone in your tribe, your city or you room, it is a way to learn that homosexuality exists and has existed for a long time, and that you are not the only one.

Using religion to justify bigotry is grotesque.

Why is it that only gay people feel the need to shout they're sexuality to everyone when 99% of the time EVERYONE ALREADY KNOWS
