I did, before my therapy. Strongly suggest the books my psychologist recommended to me, which are _Reinventing Your Life_ by Jeffrey E Young and _The Happiness Trap_ by Russ Harris.
Both authors are renowned psychologists who elaborated actual, studied and professionally used therapies (schema therapy and ACT). This is nothing like "self-help" books, it's literally vulgarized science, written in a clear, comprehensive way.
It's like being caught inbetween the cracks of time.
I feel like I am definitely different, and my values have changed, interests found, and opinions advanced. However, I have not yet lost sight of what I am living for. Purpose is relative. It is up to the individual to decide what their individual purpose in life is. However, ultimately, life has no purpose. Life could have never existed, life was just millions of circumstances lining up at the right time and place. Life was and is a fluke. Nothing is on purpose. There is no sentience behind the universe. Everything happens the way it happens, and there is no stopping it. You can't stop the future, anything that will happen is going to happen. But as an individual, you can decide what you want that future to be for yourself. You decide your future, and if you don't know where to go, nobody will ever know the way like you. You just need to try your best to make up a purpose for yourself. Ultimately, everything is insignificant. Eventually, everything in this universe will return to the nothing it came from. But until then, we can have a little fun, can't we? Creating purpose is my favorite passtime. Pass the time until the inevitable heat death of the universe by finding something to make you happy, something interesting, something to make you feel proud of yourself. Because when the last black holes in this expansive nothing eventually evaporate, at least you will have made something of yourself. You will have been happy, because you will have found purpose. A non-existent gift, from yourself, to yourself. Look forward to a future that you will find happiness in knowing.
