I definitely wouldn't hate to see Lumari become a thing. I hope both of these games, both Palia and Lumari progress and become successful. I do hope Lumari isn't just a single-player game with co-op like genshin impact... I want to say hello to people I don't know sometimes... in order to have friends and play with friends you must visit and meet them. Palia does that.
Okay, now this looks promising...but I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch. With the same company backing them, we're more than likely to see the same predatory monetization practices getting in the way of actual rewarding ganeplay.
I'm not really a base-building or survival gamer; I just play MMOs religiously. And the lack of combat was the main draw to Palia for me; it's a nice break. I think it needs more features, but definitely not RPG features like Lumari has. As for the pets thing, I wasn't upset about what they released because it's clearly just a placeholder for more pet features to come. Once pets have functions, there will be free options I'm sure.
Palia was fun but kind of boring after 20 hours of mining and chopping trees, some combat would be great and this looks like its a mix of what I'm looking for.
Palia sold a good story as well. Crap about where their devs are from and what not. None of that shit matters as we can all see that didn't help them make a real game. Figure the same from these. Hell look at their websites, practically a copy paste of each other.
Intriguing.... I shall keep an eye out for this one!
Added to my wishlist!!!!
Well. Not literally, I just wrote it down somewhere to look up later 😅
The lumari look so cuteeeee
And so it has begun.

Honestly, I hope the multi-player is optional. It doesn't really work well for palia given the resource competition it causes.
this game look like palworld(not Palia) but palworld look better and it come in januari building shoting collecting monsters
It's a mmorpg? Our a multiplayer adventure? I really hope is a multiplayer adventure.
Thank you for the wonderful video, DadJoke! I'm really looking forward to when we can share the next big update with the community.
I'm excited and can't wait to see what's next.
Looks interesting.
There is also temtem which is a mmo pokemon-like and pretty good honestly. No building mechanics though

Unity hey? Wonder if this project is going to get canned

with the buggy mess that is Palia right now I am searching for a different game I could play in the meantime while it gets fixed.
I highly recommend Fae Farm!
Considering the disappointment after waiting several years for Palia I'm not getting my hopes up.
