Reminds me of farming and construction work here in Ireland as your waiting for the rain to stop so that you can get back to work. It's very beautiful and relaxing to look at and listen to as it's hitting the room of your shelter. Especially if you don't have to be out in it, like being in a restaurant, looking out at it.
@@travelloveranna shelter? A garage with a lean too roof next to it, for hanging out clothes on a clothes line when it rains. Very useful when you don't know if it will rain or not. Plus, my grandparents where farmers and my dad is retired carpenter, so I know a lot about working outdoors and waiting for rain to stop before you can go back to work.

Smoky Mountains on a rainy afternoon kind of vibe. But Smoky Mountains is the kind of place the rain is a feature, not a bug. After a long day outside you want and expect the rain to roll in after 5pm or so. Adds to the experience.

It was a very nice pool area at the resort! For those nervous about taking such a small airplane, there are daily ferry’s from Naha to Kume Island. (3 hours). Thanks for your usual great video! 😄
Another great video Anna. The resort hotel was good and you're right that it needs to be upgraded but it wouldn't stop me from not staying there. Bad luck with the weather on the 1st day but thankfully it was much better for you on the 2nd day. I love the mini-car. Is it a fuel car or an electric car? Kume Island is an ideal place for people that want to get away from it all and have a quiet, relaxing time. Take care of yourself and have a nice weekend and I look forward to your next video.
The car is an electric car. Sorry that I forgot to mention it. And yes, this island is pretty quiet and not touristic at all. So you can totally relax here ;)
I went on a trip to Kumejima island five years ago and stayed the same hotel as shown on this video for one night. Kumajima is a good place to visit and spend just for relaxing. Further more, there are beautiful tiny islands around Kumejima. One of the islands is entirely made of the sand or corals or something and looks white beach land and there is nothing to prevent the view. It is really beautiful and called "Hatenohama", which is introduced by the travel guidebooks very often.

Seems like a really nice place to visit! And think of it like this, if the resort was updated, it would cost more! Plus, when the weather is nice, would you even be in the room? I agree though, it is a surprise there isn't a public or even a private (resort guests only) bath. I really enjoyed the drone shots... I am sure over time your friend will get better at using it and get even better shots. Maybe even a better quality camera to match the one you use with your phone. Thank you for the video!

1:32 We have small commercial I think propeller jet planes similar to that one here in Ireland for the smaller commercial flights, like getting to island's off our coastline, and smaller buissness flights, like the one that crashed a few years ago, at my local Cork airport. Basically the plane ended up upside-down at the side of the runway, and half of the people survived. It was a huge news story at the time. But it's still the safest form of travel, and planes almost never crash thank God. That was just a very, very, rare incident. The last time we had a fatal plane crash here in Ireland I think was in the 1980's. So basically again, it thankfully almost never happens. There have been a few smaller planes, like training sized planes, make emergency landings, but I think all of them survived. I don't mean that in a bad way BTW. Planes are awesome and super safe.
