@TransportofPerth sadly to there will be no c series trains on the ellenbrook line when it opens because the stations out of Perth are to short! Only Mandurah to buttler,or yanchep when it opens. Ellenbrook will only get the B series.
Yes it was terrible in the 70s and 80s on the weekends..remember waiting 2 hrs on Sunday if you missed the bus on some routes .usually an hr wait on Saturday
btw the fireworks were barely anything at the start bc they had a whole system shutdown bit where the music started glitching, then they did a "system test" one thing at a time before resuming the show
Can never understand why they knocked down the 3 platforms in 2018 in the Fremantle line that were built for the America's cup as they looked the same condition as some of the Midland line platforms.
Up north on the Joondalup Line, Joondalup, Edgewater, Whitfords any of those stations I can use. I did say in the video that I usually would take 389 but in the end I got picked up from Joondalup because it was so late.
@@TransportofPerthah right! Shame the buses stop at 7pm 😱. I think in Melbourne where I come from there are some routes that don’t even run on a Sunday at all 😂
@@iainhughes4630 Yes there are many routes here that don't run on a Sunday either. But those buses that stop at 7 are just the local feeders from the train stations. The 389 is a special route which starts in the city and runs parallel to the train line for 25km but about 5km east of the train line, and so services so many suburbs. I'm lucky to live at the terminus of that route so I can just take it up whenever I need it it's already late since it runs until after midnight every day.
I just go on the Transperth website and look at the events section and see what's going on?? Or just literally look at the app and see the extra services there.
And then came Thursday, when some of the worst delays on the network were experienced
Incredible firework show, seems much bigger than last year!
Perth trains are much better now than when I was growing up. All deisel trains and from 1978 only 2 lines, weekend travel was horrible!
And then there's Adelaide which still has diesel trains and one hour frequency on weekends...

I know right! I would love for the train to still continue down there. Just going to Esplanade Park would bring tourists there so much faster.
But the thing is there's no buses for Optus Stadium on that day...
Train driver checking points to make sure it change and slow speed leaving showground with points
Why can't they just leave slowly though instead of going fast then braking...
Maybe there a speed restication of leaving stn and sharp cuvre
And why wouldn't they have built stadium station in Joondalup by now?
Yeah it's pretty bad, although major events at HBF Arena are rare so it's not that necessary yet.
It was promised back in the 90s by the LNP govt but as usual failed to deliver
Random question whats your home station (or line)

@@TransportofPerth thats handy!
@@TransportofPerthI used to live in heathridge back in the 90s and early 2000s. Bet it's all different up there now ?
Amazing, I can go to the opposite side of the country and get the same service frequency on event days.
14:20 Has there ever been a series in the airport tunnels?
No don't think so
Yes only during testing
Hi, what app do you use because i never get notified of these event services💀

Well I'm going on the first service at 4:56AM so you probably won't be there lol
Ok
That is so early
But I will try
@@TOMSTRAINVLOGS Well no need to force yourself I will still be there later in the day. I just like being on the first train you know.
the Royal Show same time as melbournes
Slow speed turnout at Showgrounds
Yes but why does it speed up and then dramatically slow down again...
