    i used hicolor too! sizzling copper and 3 soft auburns. biggest mistake was outsoing the soft auburn ratio to sizzling copper. my roots came out suuuper orange too which im trying to fix but i honestly gave up and used color remover, which somehow evened it all 🤭 im afraid to put any other brown or auburn in my hair bc my roots will now pick up the color and make it super light.

However, when I use box dye to go black it did the same thing but would always revert back to being low porosity and 4b/4c. Always use caution, especially if it’s your first time. Do a strand test 🧡

      As far as what you’re saying. They’re different chemical compounds. All fruits are similar IE seeds, but their genetic makeup is different. Same here. Hence why it hasn’t caused any damage to my hair. Everyone’s hair is different. In doing my research, this was a safe/cost effective option. 💓💓
      Using powder bleach on your hair is undeniably damaging. I mean you have to lift the cuticle to get the color in. However, you do that with heat when you DC as well. Lift the cuticle to get the goodness in. 💓💓
      I just say do whatever you feel is best for you hair. I’m just here to show you how to do it without using the powder damaging bleach. 💓💓

      No. If you colored your hair black you will need to remove that color first. Color does not lift color. Doing it multiple times will not help you achieve the desired color. 26 years behind the chair here. 30 volume will only lift you three levels. Black is a level 1 you need to be a level 6 or 7 for this to be vibrant. Her color showed up more on the third round because she deposited copper. Basic color theory will tell you color does not lift color.

    • @msShearGorgeous
      @msShearGorgeous 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Processing your hair all at once can cause hot roots. Professionals usually process mid shaft to ends and then roots for a more even process. Please understand that this process is not completely bleach free. You are lifting and removing pigment, opening the cuticle and depositing color all at once. Box color also has high amounts of ammonia which can be very damaging especially when or if you decide to change the color. Even if you don’t feel the damage right away.

    • @rockiimdrn_life6642
      @rockiimdrn_life6642  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Well I entitled the video no damage because I have none. Lol
      My hair is healthy. Regular bleaching is much more harsh than using developer. I’ve seen people curl patterns change etc. Although yes since people love technicalities I am lifting the color of my hair. You can also use lemon juice and water to lighten if you want a more natural route.
      Also, yes hot roots are a thing. Lol.

      @rockimodernlife actually using 30 volume developer 3 times in one day is going to be just as harsh as using bleach. Especially when color will not lift color. You are not going to change or get lighter by coloring 3x. In this case you would have been better off using lightner, 10vol and olapelx. Thin sections foiled would have lifted you enough to come back and deposit a toner with lower level peroxide. This would have been less harsh and two steps instead of three.
