In this episode, we talked about how Bellavita was started with skincare products, how it used to make 2-3 crores a month, how it got approached by the Ananta Capital’s team and how they strategically invested, and how he got 60 crores after selling half of his company and the growth journey of Bellavita. He shared how Strategic investors are different from Venture Capitalists. We talked about the perspective behind the words business and startup. He also shared a step-by-step process for anyone to start a business and how they can scale with time.
He also shared about his first heartbreak and how it led to Bellavita perfumes, he then shared business opportunities in India, and how to take Indian business globally. He gave us an interesting tip for finding business ideas. Towards the end, we talked about a few mistakes that every founder makes which turn their business into loss-making and when is the right time to take business from marketplace to D2C.
