My great grandfather Ernest Edward Brightman was a captain in the Royal Navy during both WW1 and WW2. He was a great and moral man and is a great source of pride in my family. This song is a fitting tribute for everything he stood for. I love it. RIP. I salute him and the bravery of the Royal Navy. 🇬🇧🇿🇼🙏🙏👏👏
My Grandfather was an RSM. Landed at Normandy. Mentioned in Despatches. I am proud. RSM Samuel Woolley.

My brother served on HMS Eurylus, think that's how it was spelt. I was only young, and my sister and I used to cry our eyes out every time he went off to sea, usually for eighteen months. We were proud of him though.
My neigbours Brother was 16 when he died on The Hood..made me cry when she told me.

My gramp was a merchant man in ww2, he used to whistle life on a ocean wave all the bloody time, so much so it used to annoy me and my sister and probably my nan aswell, but now he's gone, god id love to hear him whistle it again, to hear it now allways makes me feel,,,,,,,um,,,,,well safe....

My Great Great Grandfather was a Captain within the Voltigeurs de Montreal.
My Great Grandfather was a Zulu Wars Veteran.
My Grandfather was a Major General during the First and Second World War and became the First ever Premier of British Columbia. You might know him as George Pearkes.
Then my dad who served in Vietnam as a Platoon Leader
Then my Older Brothers who served in the Gulf War and Afghan.
I’m looking forward to taking Military Service.

They very often use the old-fashioned spelling 'Grenadiers' instead of 'Grenadines'. Personally, I would prefer dealing with grenadines, any day.
I was glad to see that most of the Royal Marines were Indian.
There are like a hundred or a thousand army marches, each regiment and sometimes battalion has its own marching music. Your just not going to find the obscure ones as onky the relevent bands play them.
