@@Tomboy2456 they overpopulate without humans bud
@@Tomboy2456 ...and, we've restricted the horses' range. If they were free to roam the plains the population would disperse and naturally stabilize. However, within the small area they're confined overgrazing and overpopulation is a problem that must be managed.
So, I understood that horses can mate anytime, like people, but then the narrator said the female was in heat. Can both be true?
Mares are fertile when they're in heat(ovulating). They have multiple heat cycles. For wild horses it's not really ideal to reproduce whenever; they can end up having a foal during the winter.
No , duh, a stallion is only male 🤯
Male stallion... Thanks for clarification
Is there another kind of Stallion? In this world who knows I suppose. 😏🙃
a male stallion, as opposed to a female stallion! wow
All stallions are male. Maybe you'll want to edit your title before publishing next time.
Maybe you want to watch the video before publishing a comment
@@rodneyparisien1997 "Male" still means stallion, troll.
Not one, single thing in the video refutes her comment.
And you have no idea if she watched or not.
Smithsonian is being inclusive.
@@rodneyparisien1997 A stallion is an adult male horse. ANY adult male horse, with or without a harem of mares. If the male horse is neutered he's called a gelding.
mare can identify herself as a stallion!! we live in woke world.
Thanks for the video....but all stallions are male. 😂
Fire the person that wrote the title for this video.
Wow Bro
"A Male Stallion..."?
There are female stallions? LOL
Everyone there's going to be a bill that takes 90,000 mustangs from the wild and sells most of them to meat buyers all so cattle farmers can have more grazing land.
Cool
Medieval cars fight to keep its harem
💀
He forced himself onto her
There is no such thing called a “female stallion”
a male stud hummm
.."the male stallion..." So is there a female stallion?
I never realized that stallions came in any gender besides male...
Well, you learn something new every day!
🙄
A MALE stallion ??? lol okay
So is his name Putin?
Everyone's complaining about the male stallion, but me? I'm wishing this was narrated by Nick Offerman.
Stallions have better life...☹️☹️
THE AUDIO SOUNDS LIKE IT WAS RECORDED USING A MIC TO PICKUP SOUND FROM A BOX... YOU CAN HEAR IT. THE SOUNDTRACK IS FROM THE REMOTE RECORDIST ON SITE. IS THIS WHAT IS SMITHSONIAN SOUND NOW? YUCK!
Aren’t most nature documentary sounds all made up/crafted in the studio after the fact?
Breathtakingly beauty! I live in debeque colorado and have land out by the wild mustangs in the little bookcliffs. I don'tlike that blmrounds them up for auctionsand most end up not well cared for or worse.
I ❤ 🐎 🐴 🐎 🐴!!!
how edited this is!
🤠
🤔 A male horse that is intact is a stallion. There is no such creature as a male stallion, or a female mare. Must do better, Smithsonian!
A MALE stallion? Aren't stallions usually male?
"Male Stallion". Aren't all stallions male? Odd title.
A male Stallion Smithsonian Channel. Where did you learn English?
Please use metric system, the audience is global. PLEASE
America is still imperial. Australia is now metric but most older people still think in imperial because metric measurement is hard to visualise if you were raised on imperial. So, the world is not all metric.
@@joebloggs619 Most of the world is. You can't cater to just the US alone
It is so obvious that the narrator is American. So, naturally, an American would use the Imperial system because it is used in America nationwide.
Most Americans can't convert into metric without Google. So, asking the narrator to convert imperial units of measurement into metric units of measurement is silly.
They didn't do anything. Thats not a fight.
Male stallion? Most stallions ARE male!
A male stallion???
Hes just copying what i do cheat.
A male Stalion ????
What a redundant title.
A Male Stallion ????? is there a female stallion?
My favorite horse breed on RDR2. One thing Marlboro commercials did to me as a kid is not smoking is cool but cowboys are cool.
Wait there are female stallions?
The word harem is it from Arabic?
Shouldn't MEG DA STALLION be in on this, after all stallion in part of her name, and she model herself after a horse I'm quite sure she's taken alot of that "horse meat men" if you know what I mean!
looks like the herd got some new blood added
I think if Religion didnt alter our instincts men would follow these instincts. Islam still lives by these laws of Harems.
