Never thought I would witness a Stallion peer down from a Hillside preparing his mind for war, but then David Attenborough whispered click on this video in my ear.
War is war, whether "human animal" or "animal animal."
😂😂😂💯💯💯 Was just thinking the same ha!
War is indespensible to be an Alpha male...
No he didn't, either that or I just don't get the joke.
Dodged two devastating jaw shattering kicks
It's so funny what makes animals decide who wins the fight. Like oops I missed that kick there you win. And they both acknowledged it so it was clearly some kind of clear form of victory.
I think the white horse injured his leg because of this kick. Nothing to absorb the energy and something bent too much. It even limps on this leg in the next shot.
@@Norbert_TrebornI was just thinking it looks like he over extended his legs
Sir David Attenborough... a Global treasure.
Who else can listen to him 24.7.365?
24-365 or 24-7-52😄
Absolutely a treasure.
Such gorgeous animals
Without trying it seems like. Like they don’t seem to even care what color other horses are. It’s so rare for a species to have such range.
@@calvinhoward3808well, the mustang is just a domestic species released in the wilderness in historical times, so ain't that unusual this wide range of coats (as for all the other domesticated species).
Homie came in, took the watering hole and all the hoes. Flawless victory.
I read this comment in my Snoop Dogg narration voice LOL!
That was so

C'mon we need much longer video of this! This is a pure tease

Never miss the last kick.
💀
Because of a miss kick . I don't understands he didn't hurt him somebody need to explain this to me
@@falanajerido875 If you ever get into a scuffle, make sure your last kick connects or you'll lose everything. Your wife, family, kids, friends, water, food, respect and land.
And you'll have to roam around for eternity, alone, reflecting on the time you missed that kick.
I didn't even know horses fought like this, they always seemed to be the gentle-giant types. Very fascinating
Horses are gentle depending on breed, how well they trust you and training. But indeed there are fights. The worst ones are between wild stallions fighting over mares or leadership of entire herds. Cloud was one of the most beloved wild mustangs in Montana as well as Picasso.
Oh yeah, they'll bite, kick, and do all manner of nasty things to each other. But the fun part is that you as a person, if you then captured the stallion and managed to break them you'd have tamed literally the rest of the herd because now you're the top horse.
Domestic horses don’t have to fight for water, mates, territory. These are wild.
@@thomasrogers8239 Is this really a thing? I have never heard of this before.
@@nose_poke He made that up. I studied equine science in college, definitely not true.

1:18 Sees 1:28 Observes 1:54 Assess 2:08 Shows Agression & Triggers Opponent. 2:19 The white began its heavy back kick but he black continues with body push. The black is smart, it continues to be defensive and manages to dodge 2 attempts of back kick at start. 3:03 Black delivers a targeted punch. Then White attempts with 4 desperate kicks but Black already mastered How to Miss them. He wins comprehensively.
Nice comprehension.
And then Arthur Morgan comes along and tames the black stallion before riding off to shoot Micah for being a rat.
Man,,,, can't wait for RDR3.
@@MyuNeptune is there definitely going to be a rdr3?
Doubtful. Red Dead Redemption 2 was produced by Sam Houser. Who has since left the company.
@@MrSeekerOfPeace I've seen multiple confirmations out there. But no matter is it true or not it's gonna take YEAAARS for it to come out.

Did they ever get things wrong! Horses do not dominate resources. Instead there is a hierarchy, each individual band of mares and their stallion take their turn at the pool in order of the lead stallion’s status. Grevey’s zebra stallions guard waterholes, since they have a very different social structure than horses. They form territories from which the females come and go, the better the territory, the more females come and the more he gets to breed. Horses form bands that are constantly on the move, stallions guard their band but don’t guard a territory. Surprised they got things so wrong here.
Why are the females so fickle? One lost fight and they all now belong to another? Why wouldn't one say, screw that, I'll go with the white stallion, I'll have him all to myself?
Generally horses are gentle animals, but when two stallions clash over a herd of mares,
look out! Anything happens in a “ no holds barred” fight.
Superb cinematography - filming -
Even horses have economics.
Expected some Ennio Morricone song when the stranger arrived. Like from an old western or so ... :P
My brother did a doc on the wild horses of Nevada. He was nominated for an Emmy I believe.
What?! More details please!
His name is John Locher. He works for the Associated Press. I’m not sure the name of the film.

I thought Horses were cool with each other, not to activate Mortal Kombat and Test Your Might😅
Test Your Might 😂😂😂 I could hear Shao Kahn voice before the white horse's kick
Not at all. When a new horse is introduced there's always a battle. One time my aunt brought in a recently retired racing horse, huge buffed thing. It immediately beat the shite out of my fave horse, that didn't even try to fight back. I was mad, yelling at my uncle to make em stop but he said nope, it'll be over when it's over. Brutal! I'm now 44 and this was 30 years ago, still remember it very well.

So the behaviour explained here isn't accurate; stallions don't attempt to dominate water, but certain stallions are more respected than others usually due to age or ability and will only allowed related bands to come close and drink nearby. The mares generally choose where the herds go with the stallion acting as a guardian at the back to prevent stragglers and keep the family together. Mare's especially pregnant ones need lots of water and will walk off in search of water, the stallions main objective is to keep other breeding males away from his harem of mares. It's more complicated than that but that's the basics of it. Horses do have resource guarding behaviour but I believe that's seen more in the way he describes in domestic horses where as horses in the wild naturally share resources. However that doesn't mean there isn't some order or that some horses won't get irritated if their personal space is being invaded. Plus as mentioned before the stallion will chase off stranger horses who are too close to his family and thus pose a threat or are encrouching for whatever reason.
Damm it feels like some movie is going on
One missed kick? That's all it took? Wow. Talk about knowing when to end a battle.
People, are you watching? Doesn't have to be 'to the death'!

This could have been better if they had horns
Out of curiosity, does the white stallion now have to leave or does he just become a subordinate male?
He more likely would have to leave, it looks like he greyed out to white from being a dark bay/black as a foal so he was probably an older horse anyway..
that's what the human would do if they did not pay the water bill and had to fight for water source, the strongest get the to drink
GET THE ZOOKEEPER 😂
That wasn’t a fight they barely touched each other then the one who was winning gave up
They don't show full fights. They are hours long at times. xD It would have to be a whole episode.

Interesting to see these feral horses fighting over a pool of water in a land they don't belong to . Don't forget that horses aren't native to the Americas in fact they are not even considered wild animals in general since they are domesticated animals so you will not find them on any list of north american wildlife . They are introduced in the american continent during it's colonization in the 16th century (1500s) and many horses mostly of the breed of mustang likely escaped from their owners and farms and started to reproduce in the wilderness along with other non native species such as feral cats , dogs , goats , wild pigs , pheasants , rats , mice , pigeons , cockroaches and in florida state only pythons , chameleons and monkeys . They unfortunatelly cause severe damage to the native species of plants and animals that lived here long before they arrive so if anything these horses ( as well as the rest of the species mentioned ) are unwelcome aliens , the same issues also occur in Australia as well and are much worse than here . The US goverment is taking action against these invasive species by capturing and exterminating as many as possible to prevent any further damage caused by them . These horses may enjoy the water for now but one day they may see a hellicopter or a drone flying over them that starts shooting at the herd until there's no horse left standing that's how this herd's reign may end up be .
Reminds me of Mortal Kombat…
FINISH HIM!!! 😳
I find this so upsetting.
Never underestimate the power of a horse. They are my #1 favorite animal in the world. I wish wild ones didn't have to go through BLM cruelty.
no doubt horses and human has relation since the begining of life
@@theanimalshabit Not really. The horse was domesticated quite recently. The dog was the first domesticated animal, and for about 30,000 years it was the only domesticated animal. Then came the domesticated pig. Then the chicken. Then the horse.
@@tomgreenleaf1918 it is you research agree but i used general term.
The Black was trying to bite the other horse on the withers, if he gets ahold of him there it will paralyze him.
He got a couple of bites in. I think that's why he won.

Horse fighting kinda boring tbh
I mean, they just fumble around for a bit. Honestly thought the white one was winning, the black one was busy dodging kicks the entire time.
The main reason the visitor horse won was because of the females standing by watching, if he would've loose, no more females that's why he went his hardest, the other horse wasn't really motivated because in his mind he's telling himself am I really going to risk my health for just water?
nice job applying anthropomorphic traits to horses and projecting your need for female validation bro
