I know Tim said this song is about becoming a parent, but I feel like it also fits the context of a complicated romance quite well. Two people who seem to always be having problems, but are determined to get through it

Put my head phones on, vibed, and thought of my own daughter when she hits the dreaded teen years..man that sudden eruption of the rest of the band coming in at that first chorus actually made my eyes water. This is why rise against has been my favourite band for 11 years, you make me feel shit. Love you guys

I'm currently going through a really sad breakup now and this album was my saving grace. I've always been a fan of rise against but this album became my favorite from them because of this.
True love is not something we choose, it just happends so even if you know deep inside that grenade will blow up at one point you still hold it tightly.
Raidra -Eclipse its more like what comes after love breaks apart and within a glimp of an eye your house is on fire walls are comming down and your world breaks apart. Believe me i know how that feels . Just as they discribe it its like a handgrenade and if you still need to interact with the person you love but she doesnt its like touching a razorblade, every move carful and the razorblade doesnt care if it hurts you but it will cut deep and you are the one bleeding .
Exactly, thats why i chose to let her go completely and loose contact cause as much as i want to know how she is doing it just hurt too much, love sucks honestly but i am glad i got to experience true love and dont get me wrong it still hurts but its easier to bear this way.

I got into Rise Against many years ago, and since then, even though my music tastes have changed quite a bit, I can never stop listening to them. There is something about their music that keeps bringing me back! ❤

I love how this song depicts a life long parent/child relationship. One which I am 8 years into and this song really hits the nail on the head. A love that is unbreakable where the parent can be hurt by the child but love them unconditionally none the less. While also acknowledging the parents own inadequacies. Summing them feelings up in just over 3 minutes is a tough task. Tim McIlrath is a true lyrical genius

I feel like Ghost Note Symphonies was made so Tim, the bands voice, could slowly heal his vocal cords, and the rest supported him, giving a deeper meaning to the entire album. Sometimes change is important. Sometimes we need time to heal. Maybe that was the point, maybe it wasn’t, I’m not sure, but it was really beautiful.
I know Rise Against is famous for their punk, screaming stuff, but I honestly think this is the best album ever.
