Oh my god. On My Own always brings tears to my eyes. I’ve only heard Bert sing that song once live and he’s previously stated that he doesn’t sing it live anymore because it pains him.
I love The Canyon. His vocal range has changed due to his nodes and problems. I’ve been a fan for over 16 years and I love how the music has changed and grown up with the band and the fans.
I will always be my “childlike self” with The Used. Bert’s lyrics have changed my life.
Same. Been a fan since I heard Maybe Memories on the 2002 Warped Tour soundtrack and love everything they've done but their self titled still hits like the first time.
oh my God I fell in love with Bert all over again.
These are the only artists that have never once disappointed me.
Every song in their discography is beautiful. It’s all audible artwork and I’m so in love with it.
I swear this band is made of some of the most beautiful people on this planet.
I’m seeing them on the 29th of April in Atlanta and it’s a really big deal to me. I wish I could just thank them and they don’t even know what all they’ve done for me in my life.
I've been to alot of shows and seen lots of bands but when someone ask me who my fav was I ALWAYS say The Used. No doubt about it. All 3 times I've seen them was amazing. My most fav was the taste of chaos with My Chemical Romance.

Do you still feel the same? Curious. This new album seems like it has some of their most nostalgic sounding songs as well as the most generic pop songs theyve ever put out. "Lighthouse" for example. Yuck
This incredible band carried me through my teenage years. The good times and the bad. Now into my adulthood hearing him sing "On My Own" again is so bittersweet. My first ever friend since preschool and I would crawl up onto my dad's roof and scream out all our favorite songs by The Used. It was the best feeling in the world. She passed away recently and watching this just makes it all so real. That person that shared so much love for this band with me is just gone.

All the haters saying he can't sing, it does sound raspy. But singing acoustic vs a full band at full tilt is going to sound different. Regardless, every USED show I've been to Bert has always gone all out. I remember back in the day when he'd scream so hard he'd puke and jump off speaker towers and stuff. Some of the best shows I've seen.

That's actually the problem though. He has had nodes before because of a lack of proper technique and screaming. I don't think he sounds bad here but the vocal fatigue just seems apparent.
That's not the issue he has several acoustic performances in the past and he was a beast there is something health wise clearly wrong with him
Well, the fact that you like The Used doesn´t change the fact of real thing... his voice is not the same and sounds painful, that means it´s over and nothing can change that, i´m not a hater and i loved the used but now that voice is gone forever accept that!!!!

My heart liquified and skin stands cold everytime I hear the used. I am always caught so off guard. Like seeing an old friend or girlfriend. Something magical about these guys. God loves every single one of you.
Something about that guitar player is very special. Great sense of rhythm and knowing the dynamics of a song and responding appropriately. Very impressed.

whenever I hear and especially see them do acoustic stuff it really makes me remember why I fell in love with this band in the first place. they're so pure, so honest and so beautiful with what they do that it gets to the point where it's hard to describe what they make me feel to people who never got into them
I will always cry my eyes out listening to For You. There's not a single song that's more honest about having to be brave to love someone. I don't know how he keeps for crying, even on the verge, he puts his all into it.

Words cannot explain how much I love Bert. I remember collecting ALL their posters. I've loved them and their music from the first time I heard them in 2002. This band will always just make me happy.

I'm loving everything that they'd doing. Their new album is amazing and Bert looks so happy. I know this was all surrounding sad circumstances (which is why On My Own has had more play) but everybody looks so happy and healthy and it looks like a huge future still for The Used
It's so awesome to see the Used just doing things again. Beautiful set. Enjoyed it!
Bert was the greatest vocalist of all time. I can't even begin to describe how powerful their first two albums and tours were. He gave everything he had screaming and singing with the most powerful belting voice for 6 years, even vomiting on stage most nights from exhaustion. This, along with smoking since his teenage years, and a throat surgery in 07 is what damaged his voice to the point where he can't clean belt or scream anymore. He can still sing, but it is nowhere near the incredible power it was for his first two albums. Notice in this video or any recent live, he goes for a belt vocal and it comes out raspy or weak. His belt voice got less and less potent with each subsequent album following Lies for the liars. I think Bert was the greatest vocalist of all time. It just shows you how much passion he gave when he was younger.
From all the way back to the "taste of ink" till now with "for you" his songs where always about feeling your emotions. To not just be a shell. Keep it up The Used.🤘
The Canyon is such an underrated album! Shallow Believer and Heartwork Deluxe are also so slept on!

Their best album in a decade. They always put out quality, but The Canyon was just next level. One of the best albums of the year. So sad that it didn't get more recognition.

One of my favorite bands, being from Philly, an art inspired city, I've seen the used almost every time they've come to the city and seeing Bert go through his struggles and seeing him live and hearing his vocal changes through the years really hits hard in the heart.
Love the new album so far, can't wait to see what else you guys drop in the future!

Bert McCracken can sing. Who is saying he can't?! Ridiculous. That guy has become one of the best singers in Rock n' Roll because he is such a caring human being! He gives everything for his bandmates & for the people he loves!!! A true upright hero!!!

The Used is one of the greatest bands of my generation. Although some of their albums aren't for me, at least I haven't gotten too into them, they are an icon in the scene. I love this. These guys have been the headliners since 2004 and they still rock this shit.

people love the used in such a special way. its beautiful to read the experiences of those fans who have attended the concerts and all those years in which they have been listening to the band. im a fan of the used for some years, and it's not that i'm a fan who knows everything about them or who has gone to their concerts, but i prefer this band before some others that i listen to. the used has a raw, realistic and sincere sound. i rlly like their first albums, but i have a love for their whole career as a band. they're great. i have felt identified with many songs, and they have always inspired and helped me. i hope someday to see them live. ps: yeah sorry for the english lmao

I agree. It's their best since In Love and Death easily. Absolutely phenomonal album. As soon as they announced the guitarist from Saosin was joining you knew it was gonna be different and amazing (obviously not dissing quinn dude is a legend)
