It was good….but my forever FAVORITE airplane thriller movie is hands down, “Flight Plan” from 2005 with Jodi Foster. That film still makes my jaw drop.
Started slow, but we hung in there! Justin Bateman was great, especially when you could hear him talking without seeing him. In a huge Taron Egerton fan, and he won me over at the end, after what felt like an awkward start.
This movie was so much fun. I threw it on last weekend while folding laundry and had low expectations but ended up really enjoying it. I didn't even care about the plot holes because a movie like this just requires you to to sit back and enjoy the ride. Also, lol to Nick on the TSA pre check comment. Also can we but Tom Egerton in more good things please?
I highly doubt that someone can take a luggage cart, drive it down the tarmac to a plane that is getting ready for takeoff, open the door, get in and close the door and the pilots or any other planes not notice this.
I very much enjoyed this too, Joseph 😉😉 Thanks!!♥️Hope ya’ll had a very merry Christmas & I hope We ALL Have a very fantastically Fun ( actually I wouldn’t mind a fantastically boring & lazy) & Fruitful & HappyAF New Year! 🙏🏼🎼👙🏝🧉🎬📚🚘🚻💒
The clear plastic taser as a stand-in for a 3D printed pistol really annoyed me. If you want it semi-automatic, you absolutely have to have metal parts like springs, a slide, and a barrel. Never mind that bullets are still made of metal. It also cracks me up that it explodes and kills someone rather than just hurting their hand and maybe his eyes. It even glows like it's molten metal.
I actually watched this movie BEFORE watching your review! Totally agree that it should have had a theatrical release, and (aside from being cop-aganda) it was a TON of fun. Love you guys! Keep up the good work, and Happy Christmas! 🎄🎅
Happy Holidays if you observe! I wish you good health, love, peace and prosperity in the New Year and Years to come. I Love your channel SO MUCH! Have a good evening, take care.
Had to stop before halfway point. Never realized that TSA agents were soooo professional. Kinda like cream of the crop level professional. Just cant take one scene seriously! Clown world 😂😂😂
Wow, this would have been over in my world before it began....I would never put a stray earpiece in my ear....yuck 🤑 It's like using a strangers straw🥤. Merry Christmas 🎄🎄
I felt like it was at least a half hour too long for what it is. Jason Bateman's shoulders must be tired from carrying this 'Phone Booth' knock off. It's fun the first time, but the plot is silly. It's basically the Call of Duty level called No Russian in reverse. PMC's are not going to pull something like this just to have job security.
I loved it. And it's been awhile since I've said that. But I definitely kept getting from the very beginning the "Phone Booth" replica. Kiefer Sutherland is a better villain tho.
@nickoletcampbell4657 I think Bateman did the best with what he had. He has the potential to be a great villain. I enjoyed it the first time, but I don't see any replay value in it.
We used to get these type of movies back in the 90s. Under the radar thrillers which entertain in a good and packed runtime. That's the good thing about Netflix and streaming keeping these type of thrillers alive
I’m truly shocked you both enjoyed this! I thought the acting was bad/stupid characters, plot was weak, not believable and there was really no tension for me because of those things. The car crash was also super fake!
It wasn’t perfect but, like Nic said, compared to the shit they actually put in theatre’s these days - where it’s a crapshoot if there’s a film you’ll actually WANT to see there on any given day - this would be box office gold, IMO.
This movie was decent. I thought the relationship between Nora and Ethan felt crunchy. Like no chemistry. She kept saying the same thing about the police academy. He clearly had the energy to be a detective. Also how on the world was Nora running around the parking garage in heels and you hear no click clacking? The car fight scene was incredible!
"These is a Tom Cruise graded film considering the amount of running-I'm surprised that Tom Cruise didn't want to play this role, Tom is a runnin' fool." LOL you two and your reviews crack me up
Goddamn movies are so orange and teal these days. I hate it. Sorry. Everyone needs to stop wearing clothes that are only two colours. The film wasn't bad though. It reminded me a lot of Red Eye. The only thing that kinda killed it for me was how ridiculous the guy in the van was acting.
Yes, he was much too over the top. I know he was trying to portray that his character was manical and enjoyed killing, but that goofy, toothy grin was just too much. And on a more trivial note, I just despised his hair 😄
@@brittyn It really good I thought, until the final few scenes where it turns into the classic Scream slasher film and the bad guy becomes a bit too much of a klutz. But, yeah, it's probably way better than this film.
The action was good, but the plot holes are unforgivable. All characters did stupid stuff to move the action plot. They completely forgot about the switched bag. Smh
If Carry On was in theaters it would of made billions not only because it’s a great BANGER original movie, but the masses have grown tired of remake after remake.
$47 million budget, and not enough for a shooting scene? Holy shit..how overpriced is movie making? Some of the greatest movies are on shoe string budgets..
I know y’all don’t review tv shows, but the guy that ran TSA in this movie plays Uncle Daddy in Clawz, a gay southern character. He can do a decent southern accent, I promise! 😅
I'm new here, out of curiosity, have they ever given a 5 to a movie? I'm binge-watching it and so far I've only seen a score of 4. Thanks for the help!
This was a silly OTT near nonsensical flick that I couldn’t help but really quite enjoy. Actors are clearly trying. The die hard/ taking of Pelham 123 et al it stems may be a a good bit better (mostly due to Willis just being so damn good back in day) but this really stands out amongst a pretty sad bunch of Netflix Yuletide offerings. Good casting (especially Bateman) good twists and turns (despite becoming convoluted) If you like that kinda movie and wanna turn ya brain off a bit for an Xmas romp with a couple eggnogs you’ll have some fun here.
I feel like the first 45 minutes of this movie is an excellent short film. The rest of the movie really leaned into the unrealistic fun side… which threw me off a lot. Fun movie, but I wish it stuck with a more serious tone throughout.
I have watched almost ever single review by this channel. I absolutely refuse to believe that they actually like this movie. There is no way in hell, there is some conspiracy going on here.
I hereby submit my nomination for worst hair of the year, and it's for Jason Bateman's "ducktail mullet". I am not a fan of Eron Egerton's fade and his girlfriend's Kardashian influenced super sleek haircut.
They showed Mateo putting the boss’s body behind the other suitcases in the room
hey, merry xmas! the fact that the main character becomes a cop at the end and that was his happy ending... very american haha
Yes, haha, American character, American dream (his anyway), American movie (I guess)🤷♂️🇺🇸Haha!
Taron kept reminding me of Terminator 2 when he was running! He looked like Robert Patrick too! Gosh, I Loved T2!!
It was good….but my forever FAVORITE airplane thriller movie is hands down, “Flight Plan” from 2005 with Jodi Foster. That film still makes my jaw drop.

I love Jason Bateman and love when he does more serious roles. He was so good in Ozark!!!!!

Much to my suprise, I really liked this, too! Glad to hear, I'm not alone. Love your reviews, guys! ❤
I highly doubt that someone can take a luggage cart, drive it down the tarmac to a plane that is getting ready for takeoff, open the door, get in and close the door and the pilots or any other planes not notice this.
Nah a TSA agent without his uniform and badge running from a Check In booth all the way to the Tarmac did it for me 😂
It's a movie dude
Danielle Deadwyler is that girl! She brings her A game in every role
I hope Jason Bateman is included on Joseph's worst hair list, because the part you get to see if it is just goddamn awful! 😂
Agreed! He doesn't look good in a baseball cap. I normally think he's cute but in this film... nah! That cap was NOT it! 😆 🤣
🙏🏼🎼👙🏝🧉🎬📚🚘🚻💒
Danielle needs her own cop show. She was so badass I was just enthralled, and am now obsessed with her after that car scene!!
Always love an appearance by Logan Marshall Green. 😊 He def has the face of a villain...but he's a great actor
He looks EXTRA creepy & villainous in this…and that suit, wtf ?!!!
I wasn’t interested really but now I will watch. Merry Christmas to you both!!! Luv n hugs! 💕🎄🌟😎💫

I liked the it's not too late to go after dreams message and this was entertaining.
I tell myself, it’s never too late.
@kellyrob4296 I'm trying to tell myself that every day as I try to get a job in film.
@@day1filmfan Don’t Ever Give Up!! Untill, You are in the ground!🤩🫶🏼
I was happy to see that Sofia Carson’s hair was not tucked into her sweater for the entirety of the movie a la “Purple Hearts” 🙏🏻😌
lol that drove me nuts when i watched that movie!
This was very fun!
Nah a TSA agent without his uniform and badge running from a Check In booth all the way to the Tarmac did it for me 😂
I'm surprised you guys liked this....I mean it wasn't bad and it wasn't good. Just watchable.
Don’t rain 🌧 on our parade🥁
Merry Christmas gentlemen!
Enjoyed this ... Silly fun ... Better than 99% of Netflix movies
There's that Sigourney Shirt! Love it!
Thanks guys! Merry Christmas!
I expected this to be cheesy bad initially so I'll check it out later today. Thanks guys!
It IS
I enjoyed it, was a great change of pace from Christmas bore ..but omg the plot holes!!! And i kept thinking that taron would make a great t2
The pacing is all that matters to me with these types of movies, so this sounds like a fun watch!
This seems like a movie made for those AI recap channels - they’re kind of fun for movies that have nothing going on but a pulpy premise.
just discovered your podcast. absolutely love

Really didn't intend to like this but I really did! Very pleasant surprise.

OMG! I just saw the "Crunchy" shirt on ig!!!! When is "She look'n a little elderly" gonna drop?
Who does Joseph say that about, I forgot?
@kellyrob4296 More like, who didn't he? if you know, ya know.

Mateo was cleaning up the blood and when the guy finally gets in about 5 suitcases are lined up infront of the body w/ the body in the shadows.
Couldn’t get over how dehydrated Taron Egerton skin looked during the entire film. It was entertaining though.
I had the same thought. Wasn’t he a kid a minute ago? That’s one wrinkly 30 year old ha
@@patrickbyrne5070 lol…I feel terrible for laughing
He was a bit dry-faced. I knew something was off. I guess bad makeup
I want to see this movie just to find out why he would put that stranger's ear piece in his ear.

Haha, weed shop. It was a Christmas Tree shop.

I just watched the final mission impossible trailer and was thinking the same thing. There are nine shots of him running in the trailer alone.
Happy Holidays Gents!
This was surprisingly really good for a Netflix film
Goddamn movies are so orange and teal these days. I hate it. Sorry. Everyone needs to stop wearing clothes that are only two colours.

plus he played in Kingsman

Jason Bateman plays a pretty good heavy.
Only Nick could make the word flatulence sounds so damn elegant❤❤❤
Hey, I liked the movie. It was fun. Super unlikely, but just a fun movie.
Love the car scene. Wish it had a runtime similar to Phone Booth

Fun movie, but I wish it stuck with a more serious tone throughout.
I’ll give it another try the first 10 mins were slowwwww so I turned it off
Agreed 💯
It ends off decent. Not bad for a Netflix
It wasn’t worth watching the entire thing.
I couldn’t get into this movie just because every time Jason Bateman talked , I couldn’t get the fox from zootopia out my head
WHY WOULD SOMEONE PUT A NASTY EAR PLUG IN THERE EAR ??!!👀👀🤣🤣🤪🤪👎👎
Are you kidding me? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? THIS MOVIE WAS SO F*CKING STUPID. IS NETFLIX PAYING YOU?
I have watched almost ever single review by this channel. I absolutely refuse to believe that they actually like this movie. There is no way in hell, there is some conspiracy going on here.
I think it helps if you have rock bottom expectations when you go in. I thought it was dumb and boring too
@@deliciousvegans4505they talk about enjoying stupid ass movies all the time it’s called having fun
I doubt they went into this movie with high expectations, it’s not a major production 👀
I gave this a 1.5 on Letterboxd. I was not feeling it at all! His constant running drove me up a wall 😂
I can't stand Jason Bateman either.
it felt like it’s doing the same thing 10,000 movies have done in the past. It was ridiculously unbelievable but predictable at the same time.
Same. But I did like Bateman in The Gift!
lol he’s a running fool 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm here!
We really enjoyed it as well. It’s a B from me.
Joseph I'm not a fan of Jason Bateman whatsoever either.
i lasted about 30 minutes
It was okay, but so many unbelievable moments and plot contrivances.
I'm like number 666 and thats delighting me too much
I love Non-Stop and The Commuter, had no idea it was the same director for this movie, will watch it now
I really liked the film. I thought it was good and interesting. A bit long though
Theo Ross looks exactly like Giancarlo Esposito. They should play father and son or brothers in a movie.
I hereby submit my nomination for worst hair of the year, and it's for Jason Bateman's "ducktail mullet". I am not a fan of Eron Egerton's fade and his girlfriend's Kardashian influenced super sleek haircut.
I rolled my eyes so hard 🙄👀😒NOT the good old evil russians trope..just couldnt care enough to watch it

I saw "The Order" in the theatres a couple of weeks ago. I found it to be completely riveting.
This is the worse movie ever made.
