  • When is the right time to use a strong asymmetrical bowling ball vs. a control asymmetrical ball?
    There are some key factors you need to pay attention to when you're bowling in order to recognize and make the proper choices during competition. In this video, I'll be testing a Track Archetype vs. Hammer Envy Tour.
    With the help of SPECTO data, I'll highlight the differences in each ball and their general tendencies when it comes to reaction shape, overall hook and continuation. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:
    Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
    Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based on the True Breakpoint.
    Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
    Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
    Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.

    75% of ball motion is from the cover. That's why we're seeing only marginal differences between both balls

    As a person that buys all the brands. You guys are putting out the best stuff for me game. Plus seeing other league bowlers raving about the stuff they have purchased from your brands. I am officially a convert. I just wish y’all didn’t make so many balls because they all look amazing

    Good stuff Nick. I know I speak for most when I say thanks for the education sir. We really appreciate it. Being lefty I'm really liking the look of that Envy Tour. Thanks

    With the LBC now a thing and the PBA sport leagues really taking off, it would be awesome to see some reviews on PBA/legend/sport patterns. I know the main customer is house shot bowlers, but the hopefuls are getting quite numerous.

    The Envy Tour really reminds me of my Ebonite Vortex back in the day, I think it would be a house shot killer for me, I'm buying one!

    I know you're like basically a throw-bot, but holy crap that Archtype looks amazing. I'm seriously tempted...

      Archetype was a stand out ball for me, very strong ball on the backend for a high end solid asym.

    Those balls are both amazing. Not sure I would need to luge both to league. I imagine the difference is a lot more pronounced on a sport shot.

    Did you suffer a hand injury at some point and that is why you drill your fingers staggered? I’ve been bowling 40 years and have never seen someone with the finger holes staggered so I’m curious…

    How would you say the Archetype compares to the Zenith solid?

    • @brunsnick
      @brunsnick  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would think the Zenith is smoother and earlier than Archetype.

      @@brunsnick thanks , I watched the video in the link , I appreciate the info , that’s something I might try out just to see how it feels and how the ball rolls for my type of game , I’m low rev anyways so I don’t think it would chage much in that part but maybe the feel would be smother. And come off a bit cleaner

    Great video. I have been paying more attention to my breakpoint shape, and how the ball exits the pindeck when making ball changes lately. I have had better results when doing so, selecting between strong and weak asyms or going to symmetrical cores on the move. You validated my recent ball choices!

    • @brunsnick
      @brunsnick  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s the key! Don’t stop watching the ball when it hits the pins. What happens after is as important!
