I’m a girls’ girl, but I have to be honest. We women have a lot of influence on how men are perceived. Zenab made sure to make Cole out to be the villain and repeatedly talked about the ‘abuse’ she endured from Cole and how it ruined her ‘self Esteem’, that wasn’t there to begin with. No one wants to be the one to say she’s overreacting out fear of not seeming supportive of an ‘abused’ woman. That’s why Bartise didn’t get any backlash, because Nancy didn’t attack his character and because she forgave him. At least this is how I see it.
I have a feeling he probably recognizes that he said some things that hurt Zanab (not intentionally but she's easily triggered), and feels bad about hurting her, and that's why he doesn't want confrontation. I believe this was filmed before the reunion, and on there you could tell that Cole just felt like crap. This whole time he was being gaslit and made to question his own memory and sanity. He was probably just done with the whole thing
He's a lover and not a fighter. And who knows maybe he has trauma around confrontation. I know I do from how badly my parents would get into screaming matches growing up.
Cole apologizes because he recognizes the mistakes that he made. Now, usually when you're dealing with a partner or even ex-partner who takes personal accountability, that partner will recirprocate and apologize for their mistakes as well. But he's not getting that. Absolutely zero personal accoutability from Zanab.

@@anjelicac4338its possible, but also they didn't force everyone from second season to come for their party, so if he really didn't want to come, i think it was possible. But since apparently they filmed this before the reunion, it's possible that he didn't know that everyone hates him, so maybe he wasn't aware of what he is signing for.

Given the recent allegations of domestic violence from Brennan's ex, he has some nerve treating someone poorly based on what he's heard, not witnessed, that Cole did. You would think he would be more self-aware and understanding of other people having an opinion from an outsider's perspective.

The scene where all the girls were making fun of Cole during their gathering was way too disturbing. Z lied about every fuking situation and all the girls fell with the lie, ended up making fun and belittling Cole. Is that what grown ups do? Is that what “good person” as they claim to be do?
I noticed Raven stayed pretty quiet in that scene. That said, she or someone (if they disagreed) should have stepped up.
That was very uncomfortable to watch. Their men all have shown horrible behavior or been accused of it. A group of men doing the same would be heavily scrutinized. I also noticed Raven keep quiet and wish someone spoke up.

Brennon always gave me the creeps. I feel like his image on the show is very self controlled and it feels like highly manufactured. Everything he says is kind of irksome because it feels so fake to me. The situation with Cole felt like he knew he had these allegations against him so he constructed a persona of the immaculate husband who treats his wife like a queen and doesn’t fight with her. It seems he wants people to believe that he’s the perfect husband so that we don’t believe the allegations. There’s a reason the father in law doesn’t like him. He sees something we don’t.

ok I agree Cole was a jerk flirting with Colleen at the pool party epesode. Cole seems to have a good heart. Zay is a sociopath. Brennan is a weak man with no constitution and his spoiled, narcissist wife manipulated him to treat Cole like trash. He’s self conscious about his weakness but knows he’s safe to act tough in front a wounded man in front of the camera. Nancy and Raven are otherwise good women but they threw out any reason or ethics to “back up their girl” and should be DRAGGED for that.
Cole was everyone’s scapegoat for their own powerlessness. Zaynab was insecure from the start. She literally hates her own ethnic features. And then accused Cole of single handle destroying her confidence. Brendan is emasculated by Alexis so he hates the natural laid back balanced nature of Cole.

I disagree! Brenen is expressing his wife anger towards Cole. Zay saying that Cole called her fat triggered Alexa’s insecurities around weight. Like “if he thinks Zay is fat, what about me”. Since Brenen doesn’t have thoughts of his own, he is acting like her attack dog. That’s my theory.
That still would be projection. I used an almost literal example of that in the video. He’s taking the thoughts from her and transferring it to Cole.
My theory is it is Alexa is the one who convinced Zanab that she is being fat shamed when Zanab tells her her stories. Because she projected herself in Zanab stories then Alexis turned around and made up worse stories about Cole to her douche husband.

I think Brennan is remembering what Cole said about Z behind her back to the guys in the beginning. Not what the cuties scene showed.
Cole also told Z that he didn't find her as attractive as Colleen. All of those things happened early in the relationship, so it's possible that Z was holding that in and blew up inappropriately later down the line, as well as exaggerated future things that happened in her relationship with Cole.
Cole isn't innocent, and Z isn't innocent.

I like that Cole hit the nail on the head with his point that Brennon only has beef with him because "Alexa says". He's on Cole for being disrespectful, meanwhile his wife, her family and all her friends have been belittling and disrespecting him constantly under the guise of "sarcasm" and "humor", but he is too much of a yesman to put them in their place. This clip was almost comical.
It's really unfortunate that Cole keeps catching all this heat... he might have been out of pocket with some of his comments but I think under the circumstances, it's not completely outlandish. I believe the deeper issue at work here is Zanab's low self-image (that existed prior to Cole), and her own insecurities. I also think he was spot on when he asked her if she was bipolar, and that thing with the oranges was NOT at all what she portrayed it as during the reunion. She plays victim so well but if you sit and analyze her arguments, they largely make no sense at all. If he wanted to "fat-shame" her, why would he suggest not eating too many fruits so she could have space for their huge planned meal later, and ask her why she'd only eaten a banana all day?
I am glad to hear she is seeing a therapist though. She has a lot to unpack. She's probably going to fire him when he starts getting into her real issues that have nothing to do with Cole though.

So we found out by the scene with Nancy and Bartise at the restaurant before the party in the reunion that this was the first time seeing her blonde hair. Meaning the party was BEFORE the talk show reunion. So Zanab basically had all that time and conversation with Cole to tell him her grievances, but chose to flirt with him instead… THENNN blasts him at the reunion talk show AFTER the party.
Brennon is such a lapdog for Alexa and only does shit to please her. She runs the show and he just follows the lead. Everything Brennon knows about Cole is from Zanab's pov and then the fact that Cole tells him "what you've heard" and then Brennon gets defensive and says "no, what I know" I wanted to slap Brennon. He was not in that relationship, he would never KNOW unless he was in the relationship with Cole & Zanab. It makes me sick how much Alexa & Brennon laughed at Cole the entire reunion makes me sick to my stomach. Very very immature. Cole handled that conversation very maturely, he just took it. If Cole was truly this person that Zanab made him out to be, he would have gotten defensive and angry. Instead he was always confused and always apologizing. If Brennon would have some kind of comeback, it could be all 'joking' but it does not look like Alexa's dad is really joking. He may be amusing himself pushing buttons to see just how much of a doormat Brennon actually is. I found it awful how Brennon talked to Cole. Cole tries to explain that those accusations are things he heard and he insists 'No, what I know!'. How is such a statement not an arrogant lie. His only source of info is his wife and possibly Zanab. It is all speculation. Then he continues to use aggressive statements and f-bombs like an abusive boss and was not happy with 'how things were handled' even dismissing Cole's remarks about wanting to be a better person. WTF does Brennon want?! Maybe you are right and he just needed a punching bag for a few minutes.

I just watched this episode and this conversation... Alexas wife Brennan or whatever is all about HE SAID SHE Said and not getting into the core.
