This sounds like a SWEET outro to the good ending of some medieval-themed, historical series on Netflix. The hero reached his goal, the kingdom is now ruled by a good and honest king. The evil advisor met his horrible demise, the wrongly accused thief got his redemption. The shady side character that was only in it for the money turned out to be a great guy, saving the day. The sun rises over wheat fields as the hero rides off in the distance, camera panning up and end credits rolling.
They need to retroactively insert this into an age of empires 2 campaign.
