I remember it clearly...I was 13 and it was my first time at our local tavern with my brother. Some bathers played this piece. the whole tavern turned into a never-before-seen dance floor. It became one of the greatest and most well-known songs of the 13th century. Today, many hundreds of years later, a young Colombian woman sings to this melody and also makes me feel good. But happy to re-hear this old original version. How nostalgic...
Back in 1472 I foolishly struck a deal with a fae that I would be granted faelike immortality until this song becomes popular again... But like any man who dares to bargain with the fae I was an utter fool as I realized when I heard this song being played again! And now... I am seeing gray hairs in my head and wrinkles appear in my eyes! My time appears to have come at last....

Imagine the bards playing this literally in the 1400s tavern…. People would completely be mesmerized by the rhythm and melody. Obviously they’d be puzzled by the unfamiliar notes of it but will start to love it…. Probably declare it the music from the heavens. This music would have become so popular that it would make it to the castles of kings and queens they would listen to it every day! And than one day people will realize that the bards were actually time travelers gone into the future and came with the music of the 20th century! What a tale it would be……

I feel so nostalgic hearing this, good old days when our single concern was about being burned to death, tied on a shaft, falsely accused of witchcraft
I don't want to spoil the fun but large witch hunts and public burnings are more of an early modern than a medieval things. There are recorded witchcraft and sorcery court hearings throughout the medievals but those were largely individual cases and not symptomatic for a broader sorcery hysteria. Apart from that, people sentenced to death by church courts for sorcery were mostly hung or drowned and not burned.
