    My 1975 rem 1100 is chambered for 3” magnum and 2 3/4”. Was a 16th bday present from my mom. It’s a workhorse and still pristine other than a few scratches here or there. I’ve taken hundreds of geese and ducks over the years. I wouldn’t give it up for the world.

    Great to see this classic shotgun in all its glory and seeing a soon to be classic I'm sure also, keep up the good work with your channel, it's great to see and hear you talk about your experiences, issues and solutions, very informative, thankyou and God bless

      Thanks you! The 1100 is a fantastic shotgun and the V3 is top notch in my book. The action and gas system are perfect. The gas system is like the Benelli M4 ARGO system. It just works!

    I've got two old school 1100's and both are original parts and are near mint condition but only one aftermarket part on each and that's the Carlson's mag extension tube giving me a total of 11 shots from both for I believe in firepower !!!

      Oh yeah! I only have one shotgun that I kept factory. A 1988 11-87. Because it is Mint and has a competition carrier in it. Guns nowhere near as nice as it sell for $1500 and more. Mine has 25-50 rounds shot through it. That’s all. And I don’t hunt with it as I have others to use. But I take it out every now and then and shoot 5 rounds. Then I clean it again! 🤣. It’s so pretty 🤩

    The V3 is for gun enthusiasts who also hunt. Its extremely reliable, points like a Remington, and its dressed up like a tool, unlike the 1100s which are works of art. My V3 is my go-to for rough country hunts in arizona. The only time I take the 1100 out is for quail/dove and clay shooting. The 1100 would be just as good for hunting preadtors, big game, etc. but I would feel too bad if I banged it up. I couldn't say anything negative about either shotgun. Neither have every jammed on me once, they're easy to clean and takedown

      @@chaseacklam6174 I couldn’t agree more with everything you just said! I have a 1988 model 1187 with a competition carrier. Premier model. It is mint and I keep it in a safe and have only shot a few rounds through it. Got it at a pawn shop but I knew the original owner. He never shot it. It still had some styrofoam balls inside the receiver from the original box. Unfortunately the box was thrown away decades ago. The original owner passed and his widow pawned a lot of his old guns. I found a brand new competition carrier on eBay where some kids were selling off their late father’s gun shop items. It had a lot of dust on it but it was brand new. Got it for $99. They didn’t know what it was. I won’t sell it. Well, unless someone was willing to part with some serious cash. Like a house down payment type of cash. And my kids know what it’s worth. But for everyday use, the V3 is my go too. I also have an 18” barrel for the V3 and I keep it setup for home defense. All around gun for every purpose.

      @ That’s funny you have a short barrel for your V3 because I do too! I have the 22” Turkey barrel, my fiancé just took a big Tom with it last fall. Paired with a carlsons choke and some Kent ammo, she got her bird from 52 yards. Now I carry my V3 on my coyote hunts incase they come in too close for my 700

      @Kornholeeoo  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      And. The way, this is the competition carrier I have in the 1187. I sold this 1100 after putting a new stock on it. The new pad I got didn’t fit it as the original stock here had been modified some and I couldn’t tell it until I got the new pad. Seems they shortened it maybe an inch or less. But I have others and the 1187. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!!

    My rem v3 mag cap came loose had to put plumbers tape on threads to keep it from coming off in the fields other than that not bad going on 4-5 years with it

      That’s wild. You’d think all those little ribs on the mag cap would work. It’s hard for mine to come off.

    I love my 1100, always wanted one, took forever to get it. Sold an old car, found one at my lgs, 3 barrels and the gun for $850, and it shoots great, shoot near perfect with trap, took a turkey and plenty of chukars and a pheasant with it. Won't trade it for the world. I just don't like the barrel and receiver finish, way too scratch prone, and it looks ugly with all the scratches. They should have blued them all. The wood is great. I'll have to have it blued. Also, the engraving looks kind of funny too. But the finish and engraving I know aren't perfect on the standard field. And easy to fix, but the question is, how cheap?

    • @Kornholeeoo
      @Kornholeeoo  ปีที่แล้ว

      The last quote I got on a complete blueing job was 400. That was in 2021. And that was me disassembling it completely and giving it a good cleaning before taking the it to him. Cerakoting it was only gonna be 100. He really didn’t want to do it. 1100s are really great guns but the V3 has way better recoil control, no O-rings to deal with and much easier loading. Only drawback is it only holds 3 rounds in the mag tube. Shop around on the blueing and get someone with good reviews. It’s a lot of work prepping the metal and a lengthy process, so honestly $400 was not a bad price. Thanks for watching!!

      I’ve been shooting 1100s and 1187s since the 80s and to be honest, I’m over them. Parts are really hard to find now days and the loading system just sucks. The V3 handles recoil way better and loading is a breeze. Plus it’s lighter. There is nostalgia with the old guns but that’s about all there is for me now. I have sold all of my older guns and now I have 2 V3s and couldn’t be happier with how they shoot. But I get it. Anyway, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

      Hello
      1100 are still built from remington.
      Why you can't find parts?

      They work fine. I just like the oversized ones. But I think I’ll keep this 1100 stock. I found a metal mag follower to replace the plastic one. I have a new bolt buffer coming too. That’s probably all I’ll do other than the English stock I just put on it. Will be uploading another video today on these two shooting clays.

    I had a V-3 for a couple of years. Piece of crap! It jammed up twice in the duck blind and I had to disassemble it to correct it. First time it happened I sent it in for repair. Same thing happened again and like I stated I had to pull it apart. When contacting Remington (the new company) they stated they wouldn't warranty it because they just bought the company and wouldn't honor the previous owners warranty. I've owned Remingtons all my life. I will NEVER buy another! Remington name means nothing to this new company! Traded that piece of crap for a Browning Maxus ll and never looked back!

      @@mikesavage-cg8tq Sorry you had a bad one. I’ve had two and never a problem and I shoot thousands of rounds a year. I’ve heard of a few guys that had one they had problems with as well so I know you’re not alone. But mine cycles better than my M4 and is lighter as well. Soft shooting gun too. Hope you have found a brand that meets your needs. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.

      I have friends who love the 1100 bottom bolt release too. I guess it's just a personal preference. I always say, if you like it, Shoot That Thang!

      * I agree, nothing like getting a finger nipped by the bolt. I think that is why they put the release on the bottom.
