Someone just doesnt appreciate the movie. For me, its one of the best movies Ive ever watched. Trust me. If youll watch this movie without skipping any single scene on every second, youll be amazed with the twist.

She was ment to be an average girl who was using her smarts to save her family and country. Also yes being accurate with culture is important children and people who have no knowledge of chinese culture watched this and now think this is it. When this movie was whitewashed beyond words.

Here after watching it. Thought the script isn't as strong as the original, and the original animated one is much more fun, I have to say the performances of every single actor was fantastic, the action sequences were so good (very Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon), love the camera work, and in general was very entertaining. I'm going to watch it again.

In part because it was more original than the others, presented a new vision and wasn't a shot for shot re-take like the others were. And this is coming from someone who still enjoyed all the other remakes. :-)

The movie was very good indeed. Just finished watching with my 2 boys. We all enjoyed it. Not sure why all the bashing by reviewers. I almost snubbed it due to the bad reviews. Glad I didn't.

Where I live, people call this type of negativity or toxicness, "Crab Mentality."
And most of the time, the people that exhibit this "crabby" trait are usually secretly jealous, frustrated, unhappy and very insecure.
So they feel like if they can't "win" or become successful in life, then others should also fail.
Believe me or not, I have read some comments here on TH-cam where some commenters had wished that Disney would experience huge billion-dollar financial losses or failures. Negative commenters would say stuff like, "I hope this movie flops big time!!" People can be so ruthless and evil.

Loving & enjoying these scenes. So much energy and great action moves. Reminds me of the time I watched the legend actress Cheng Pei Pei doing her martial art fighting scenes. It's such a pleasure to watch Mulan in these action scenes. She does it so well. I can't stop watching these scenes over & over again. Great job! Thank you for your hard work!

This version of Mulan is actually good. At the end, she only managed to learn part of her potential power. A sequel is a must a think.

Somewhere Mulan is framed and stripped of her rank then goes on detective mode to reclaim her honor and status.
Or maybe a Dark Phoenix story where another girl with high chi infiltrates the castle and wants to kill the emperor.
Or somehow another powerful army or maybe the chancellors decides they don't like the emperor anymore so they plotted with the nobles to overthrow him and Mulan's excellent leadership comes into play.
noo...that's not gonna happen considering the backlash, hate, and how poorly received it was at the box office
