Depends how it is made. Jumping isn’t inherently a bad thing, a course that is designed with jumping in mind could totally be made, and have it be harder than a no-jump course
I like the no-jump courses, i do think some variety can be injected with restriction to different inputs like "no-shield-button" or "no-specials", etc.
9:25, I had to go frame by frame, because it looked like Ganon just gave up on life and exploded for no reason, but there was like two frames where you can see ganondorf start his side-b and on the second frame he reaches his hand back, and his hand touches the lava. Verrrry hard to see
Beefy y’all have tried a lot of variation on this channel to varying success - but I think these, along with your shorts, are certainly the way to go! Keep it up!
Nah what you do is, from the top left, down b, immediately air dodge, then do a nair and the final hit will activate the switch and give you time to still up b and grab the ledge
@@DarthLeuan Wont the hit lag hold you in the air above the switch long enough for the frames of the actual move to finish to then up B? I didnt think down air took a long time to finish...
@@Zeoinx69 hitlag holds the attack in place. After hitlag ends, the attack resumes from where it stopped after the hit. You don't gain any frame advantage from hitlag. Do people not play this game at all?? I'm utterly confused. Tons of them are making this mistake all over the comments of the video.
13:18 my first impression would be to try down air at the earliest possible moment to hit the switch and hope that there's not too much endlag for me to up-b afterwards.
Maybe, at the part with the 'moving ledge switch', you could try to hit the switch with the up-tilt explosion? I don't know if the hitbox on that is that vertical or big though. 🤔
ganondorf touching the lava walls during the teetering animation proves that they dont follow hurtboxes but probably your collision box - it might just use hurtboxes during a committal state like attacks but not idles, i know dedede can touch a wall during his air jumps because he inflates but i think that also might be a collision box thing if it also expands when he jumps just pointing out because you once said fox's hand doesnt touch a lava wall during an idle animation because his hurtbox wasnt active, i think this is why that works
Hey @BeefySmashDoods , I made a palu no jumping stage for you guys. It’s my first time making a stage so it’s very short but I like to see how fast you guys can complete it. Stage ID:0597K2HC
13:00 In my Thought to this part is that you can down b twice or DB then down air while falling to hit the lever. Now inmediately and after hitting the lever Up B.
What do you mean stall? No matter how much hitstop dair has, you wont finish the attack faster because of it, and you cant grab ledges during an aerial.
@@TheGoldenNickmaybe? It almost sounds like microphone noise. As if the mics are too sensitive to make sure they pick up everything. I’m not sure how their mics are set up when doing the challenges
probably takes too long for the d-air to end, because even tho the switch stops Ganon in mid-air when the hit-lag ends the d-air will resume from where it started, not giving Ganon any advantage frame
13:29
Oh i see what killed you here
The startup animation moved ganon’s arm into the lava
yeah probably, btw talking about hurtboxes Ganon's down-b is so weird
Ganon's head being in the lava safely earlier is a setup for this death
We're still watching these !!
It's one of the most competitive challenges both in skill and knowledge, can't wait for the next one !
13:00 Guys, try Up-tilt, I think the explosive hitbox can reach the lever from the edge
I dont think the hit box reach that far, maybe up air or down air could and up b could work 😅
No jump courses are very creative. I think that courses with jump would be too easy and not enough of a puzzle.
Depends how it is made. Jumping isn’t inherently a bad thing, a course that is designed with jumping in mind could totally be made, and have it be harder than a no-jump course
I remember watching them do a young link course and they just cheesed it with jump
@@pillowy9726I think the nice thing about no jump is you can make the course more compact
A course designed to be hard accounting for jump could definitely be as hard as these no jump courses. I personally like the no jump courses though
It would just have to be bigger overall if it allowed for jumping
I like the no-jump courses, i do think some variety can be injected with restriction to different inputs like "no-shield-button" or "no-specials", etc.
Really guys these challenges you're doing are so cool to watch, can't wait to see the next ^^ Well job as always 😊
Very much agree. Its audience engaging because you know we are all trying to figure it out too as we watch.
This was a very creative course. It kind of had checkpoints so the difficulty goes down upon completion. Shout out to the creator.

For the sacrifice lever, I think you have to hit it with the very end of nair's second hit as you're falling. Very hard to time.
I'm waiting for someone to design a course just for Jigglypuff. She's appeared in literally every course just chillin at the top of the level
Pound, Rollout, and shield break? A tricky course should be possible with these.
Beefy y’all have tried a lot of variation on this channel to varying success - but I think these, along with your shorts, are certainly the way to go! Keep it up!
10/10 Course. This is exactly what I wanna see.
I legit love these course videos! Look forward to them every week
Those type of challenges are creative. I like to see more of them, especially with characters who hasn't had one yet
I love these no jump challenge vids against each other.
One of my favourite series on YT, keep them coming!
13:17 I bet a low UpB would hit the lever and let you recover here
Does upB has hitbox down there? Isn't it only a grab at first?
@@DarthLeuan yeah only the ending has a hitbox
Nah what you do is, from the top left, down b, immediately air dodge, then do a nair and the final hit will activate the switch and give you time to still up b and grab the ledge
@@ZzShy are you sure about that? Source? x_D
Its difficult for me to believe that the latest of nairs can hit the lever while avoiding the lava
only the arm swing at the end has a hitbox, the start of the move is just a grab

For the wood pillar switch, you just run off, down air, up B recover
You can't possibly have time for dair to end

No jump courses challenge your knowledge a lot, I like them better. Also I'll take this time to say I enjoy this type of content a lot!
For the switch, I'm pretty sure you can nair cancel with up-B in order to hit the switch and get up.

I look forward to these more than I do the smash review.
I love this. Keep the puzzle stages comin'!
maybe for the last switch: could you do drop down n-air (time it so you only hit nair2 on the switch) then immediately up-b and snap the ledge
“But who even asked” 😂
loved the course, amazing video
These videos are always so fun, I'm glad!
love seeing you competite on these course
more great challenges! thanks bsd! so much fun, these difficult challenge courses!
13:03
Did they ever think of simply using neutral air THEN up-b to grab ledge?
If stage builder could allow teleports that only activate when hitting a switch so check points could exist, that’d be sweet lol
Cfive:this haircut should make me win for sure
Later:
Cfive wins
We need one of these done for K. Rool ngl!
ggs, glad you both finished it
The level design is so creative
Hey, i Heard that someone of the two played in ranked with a player called Catapulta33
13:17 grab ledge, let go (left input not down), double jump down air, up b?
i think for the wood lever when you're at the part thats right under the coursw you could try uptilting
How there is lava there
The closest thing we have to break the targets,
The "hardest" course* bit, it's just an upB looking right (standing in the platform, not droping) and then holding to the left
I just figured you'd dair and up special to live that lever
I’m interested to see how a Jigglypuff no jump course would go.
Great puzzle course!

You forgot the smash attack for the lever in the wood platforme
Smash attack? From where?
@@DarthLeuan plateforme before the bumper
Wow, that's pretty far... I'd like to know if it actually reaches

11:56 this has never been said unironically until now
To the guy in the black shirt: Why do you flick the stick for down-b?
Or is that a trigger?
I would assume, for the last switch, would a simple down air on the switch stall long enough for Ganondorf to grab ledge?
What do you mean stall? No matter how much hitstop dair has, you wont finish the attack faster because of it, and you cant grab ledges during an aerial.
Please keep making these.
What's the best way for the builders to send a video of the solution to you guys?
Love this course videos
I want to see a puff course where you only get 1 jump
Switch solution? I think a down air would work on the switch since it slows your momentum for a split second and then just up B?
Dair does not slows momentum at all, what do you mean?
I just Want to tell you that I Love this videos. I really want to see other characters😊
I wonder if late hit nair would've worked for the switch
6:19 the way i said "huh??" out loud lmao
Does up tilt work at all for the switch?
It has a surprising amount of hitbox off a ledge
I think the switch can be hit from underneath with fsmash/usmash
How do you make yourself die on contact with the lava?
Ganondorf vs little Mac courses

What about up tilt? Would the range hit the switch?
That cut got him looking like Justin Bieber aged.
I like this one.
No Ganon niche tech?
bro i literally made one already and it has exactly all of this except for neutral b😢
Catapulta33 te ganó con la minga vyq
Not sure if it’s the song or the mics, but something is making a super high pitched noise the whole video. Made it hard to watch :(
I’m guessing the song because it doesn’t start doing that until after the intro, but idk

Down air the lever at the wood block? I'm surprised that they didn't try that.
Dair's endlag iis too long to do that, you'd reach the lava before you can do anything, wouldn't you?
