I had controller tracking issues and I have onboard bluetooth/wifi antennas coming out from the back of my PC. I had to turn my PC around and so the antennas were facing me. That fixed most of the issue, but its not perfect.
If the onboard Bluetooth is working, but you're just not getting good enough reception from the antenna situation, be aware that you can buy different antennas or antennas with longer pigtails. Using a USB Bluetooth adapter is not actually a great solution in this scenario because it will _replace_ your built-in Bluetooth (Windows will only handle one) with a smaller unit that likely has less range.

Your right. I get caught up in hype sometimes haha
I get stuck on the screen "To use this app connect and turn on your playstation VR 2"
Once I get past the Bluetooth controller pairing stuff, the screen wants to load the next step but then goes black. Then I get a steam VR error message that says VRInitError_IPC_CompositorConnectedFailed. Anyone know what this means? I'm pc illiterate 😅
Make sure your graphic drivers are updated! That may fix it and if not then definitely try a SteamVR reinstall
@MartydudeVR Thanks man! I'll try both of those
Don't know what I am doing wrong but my PSVR2 Steam App just will not load/run.
Try starting SteamVR first. If that doesn't work , uninstall the PSVR2 app -> update Graphics drivers -> then reinstall
@@MartydudeVR I tried that but still nothing. Press the Playstation vr app, shows running that just stops and returns to launch button. Pulling my hair out after 3 days lol
@@tonyf9076 I needed to activate the Igpu in the bios to make it work. Another way is to delete the igpu drivers, but delete them proparly or else it wont work. i used DDU to delete the igpu driver.
@@tonyf9076 I had the same issue, found solution on steam community forum for PSVR2 app.
80 - 144 Hz? i have just 90 or 120. why did you have more options?
I have other PCVR headsets so I think it showed more for me. PSVR2 def is 90 & 120 though
@@MartydudeVR ahh okay. Thanks
Mine controllers are blinking but they wont pup up at the bluetooth screen do you maybe know why?
Do you have on board Bluetooth?
Thanks for the video, the problem I have is that the play area does not appear when I am setting it up, so I cannot set the play area space or the height. Can you help me with this? Thank you.
EDIT: It only shows a black screen btw nothing else
Did you update your drivers?
@@MartydudeVR which drivers?

I had controller tracking issues and I have onboard bluetooth/wifi antennas coming out from the back of my PC. I had to turn my PC around and so the antennas were facing me. That fixed most of the issue, but its not perfect.
Yeah you may have to get a b-tooth adapter with a usb extender
If the onboard Bluetooth is working, but you're just not getting good enough reception from the antenna situation, be aware that you can buy different antennas or antennas with longer pigtails.
Using a USB Bluetooth adapter is not actually a great solution in this scenario because it will _replace_ your built-in Bluetooth (Windows will only handle one) with a smaller unit that likely has less range.
@@SargonDragon Thanks, I also researched about it after the original comment. I'm planning to either get longer antennas or antennas with a stand that connects to the PC via extension cables.
@@AirsoftDaddy Be advised that each additional connector on an antenna reduces signal strength by at least half (3db). So you really want to avoid any sort of extension that puts more connectors on the chain unless it's some sort of active powered amplifier.
hmmmm strange... My steam App will start for a few seconds and stops working without any error. No further instructions. Headset is turned on. All i see is a symbol that tells me to put it off.
Im waiting to get this thing
makes this whole deal cost 100 dollars after BT adapter, USB extenson cable and a 1.4 displayport cable.. jeez. F Sony.
Honestly. It is pretty crazy they didn't add a Bluetooth into the damn thing
my right controller just can't connect to bluetooth hence can't get to room scan.
no issues for me i have a good motherboard with built in wifi 6 and bluetooth 5 no issues
7:31 this is as far as I get in the setup. No printer showing. I have a Bluetooth adapter attached to an extension cable, not sure how to fix this issue
No printer showing? Hmm. The fix was me was to get a bluetooth add in but have you updated graphic and bluetooth drivers?
@MartydudeVR heard the recommended Bluetooth adapters weren't working so well (tplink specifically) grabbed a different brand, went to the website for drivers and its all shut down [page not found 😢] . So I ordered the Asus bt500 .. Hopefully that'll work better
No Pointer* showing, (not printer) I get as far as the setup telling me to put the headset on, and hit next with the controllers, and there's no pointer coming from the controllers
@@AndrewEhrenreich did you figure it out? having the same probleam over here . tried 5 different adapters and 2 different headsets, updated bios and all drivers. no luck
@madsimilius7057 technically.. yes. I have it all up and working. I wiped my whole computer and did a fresh reinstall of windows.
After that, everything installed and ran perfectly. Not an ideal solution.. maybe before resorting to that, maybe try removing steam and reinstalling..
If it's a Bluetooth issue, I had tried 3 adapters, currently using the Asus bt500.
The is no motion smoothing in my settings 🤔
Error 109 for me can't get it working
theres no motion Smoothing cuz im using vr quest 3 and im also using steamvr
Wait... What? Motion smoothing is a SteamVR feature than can be enabled with any headset connected
@@MartydudeVR but its not there
@@MartydudeVR is there a way to get motion smoothing on steamvr?
my function button wont move on
Fuck sony for how they handled this product. The headset is fine, but the controller experience is the most frustrating tech experience i have ever had. Would it really be that hard to charge a little extra and have a standardized Bluetooth adapter built into the pc adapter?
SteamVR pops up ERROR CODE 109 when I try to prepare my PSVR2. What is going on.. Anybody?
Looked up your issue and found this thread:
www.reddit.com/r/SteamVR/comments/18o87pi/steamvr_error_109_not_initialized/?
Its weird random issue for Steamvr from what I've been seeing
@@MartydudeVR Thanks for your answer. Fix that helped my problem was actually clean nvidia drivers update.
@@jusbanovitz nice! Happy gaming
When I scan my room I can see shit and it shows and orange color when I look around ?
Yes that's the scan feature for PC. Idk if you have PS5 but it maps your room on console. Just make sure you have decent lighting then after you look around for a sec, it should scan complete
Set up appears on computer screen but not on VR headset..oh well have to return I guess
Did you update graphics drivers / get correct Display Port cable?
Both controllers will conntect then the right will dissconnect can't get past the controller set up screen so fustriating
Hmmm 🤔 What Bluetooth are you using?
@@MartydudeVR My on board one, I managed to get it to work but then I couldn't get it past the psvr2 headset turn on setup lol.
I'm going to buy one of the recommended adapters and see if this will fix my issue. Fingers crossed.
@ObliviousJohno Definitely should try that. Also you may need a usb extender but def test it first.
First comment
I cant get mine to work but it works on my wifes pc which is the exact same specs 😂 fuck
Lmao wtf. That's weird. How is it not working? Is it controller tracking or something
@@MartydudeVR it doesnt open steamvr correctly so i cannot get passed the point to make my playspace
@Jttd234 Hmmmm. Try reinstalling SteamVR. That's a weird bug
I becoming Steam errors "109"
Have you considered returning the damn thing and never talking about it again? Thing is trash
@St4rTr3v1Ut10n bro what do you need help with? This is like the second comment
@MartydudeVR It doesn't work. I've reset the controllers. Tried everything. It doesn't work, and I believe people who say it does are liars. You have to be lying. Start a game, close it, and play another without doing any troubleshooting. You can't.
Anyone know how to turn OFF screen mirroring?
