  • Today, I add a set of aftermarket backup sensors in the factory locations! I missed not having them on this truck, and they are easy to add!
    I tried to replicate the factory appearance as much as possible.

    You didn’t show it in the video but show the white wire is going into the back tail light. My question is the reverse light. There’s a blue wire and a black wire which one is positive.

      I’m sorry, I don’t remember. It’s been a while. Maybe someone else will know when they read this?

    I’ll need to remember not to set in the back seat. But that’s a good seat for the mother Inlaw.

      You know you’re only permitted to ride in the bed of the truck!

    Hey, while you installed this, did you ever notice an extra unused wire connection? I found it behind my license place and I have the tow package with a camera but no sensors. So, I’m wondering if it’s for the sensors? I want to install a back up 67decibel alarm when I go in reverse.

    You said its hooked to your brake light in the video Is the wiring on the backup light wire not brake light?

      It’s the reverse lamp circuit, where it attaches to the brake lamp lens.

    Can you paint parking sensors without degrading performance?

    Rear bumpers with those holes already in them are cheap

    I want to try this set up but is there a kit with rear and front parking sensors ?

      No but you can add them to the front just the same way. I would install some kind of switch because they will always be on. I’ve thought about that, myself.

    If I were drilling, one hole would be too big, one hole would snap 4 bits, and one hole would be off center just enough for only me to notice it and hate myself for it.

      Ha! Yeah, I wasn’t excited to drill!

    Does it beep when you unlock your truck since reverse lights are on?

    • @OhYeahAboutThat
      @OhYeahAboutThat  ปีที่แล้ว

      Only if there is an object right behind it. It’s one potential downside, but the reverse lights don’t stay on for long.
