I really think that smaller, more intimate shows suit this band so much more. It's weird to see a front row almost not reacting to the live present of this band.
I saw them in November last year, when there was no "Screaming version" and it was performed exactly like this one, I think there is no "Spokenword version" of this song live. If you know what I mean

Crazy how good this performance was and yet the crowd was so lame and even some of them shook their heads? Like why are you at a metal festival that costs so much money if you don't appreciate good music?
I think it’s the mic or the acoustics of the room or something, there doesn’t seem to be much high end on his voice and that makes it sound less clear I think

Boy band pop music, ripping off hardcore & metal. These bands come out of nowhere, fully tatted up with record deals and festival shows. I want to like it, but it's so obvious that they are softcore striving for radio air play. Kind of the new nu-metal.
Being as an ocean didn’t come out of nowhere with a record deal. They have 3 records before this one. They’ve been around almost a decade. Really they’re a hardcore band just now starting to integrate pop elements. If you don’t dig this you should check out their older shit.

Michael has one of the best voices I've ever heard. I found him through the song he did with Burning Down Alaska, and I'm so glad I did.
