You know to me this album is almost their first album breaking away from huge record companies pushing certain songs because they were selling. Joel and the band made it entirely clear, that breaking away from all of that, this is one of their albums aside from their first where they truly could have more freedom than they already had before and truly change their whole record and experiment; and in that sense it makes this album that much more beautiful to me. I already listen to ambient music to study, and the backwords song makes me think im going crazy so the whole album is amazing, i love it like i loved every other album for what they offered how they spoke to my heart, and how they introduced me to Joels heart.

Wendy Scott Really? There's only what, 6 actual songs on the 14 track album? I don't mind ambient interludes and instrumentals but when it's over half the album I think it's overkill. I thought all 3 prior albums were immensely better, but to each their own.
The interludes are perfect, each of them carries the atmosphere over to the next song, each compliments the song before and after. This album is a masterpiece, please do yourself a favor and don't cherrypick songs out of it. It's an experience as a whole.
Everything except these horrible yells is amazing about this band. Glad to see transition of their sound from second-hand melodic hc/screamo bullshit to what they`re playing now (since How We Both Wondrously Perish).
