Babe, you're doing great. Everyday will be a struggle between taking care of your babies, your home and yourself. Self care needs to come first because if you are not fed and loved, you can't expect yourself to feed and love your babies on an empty tank. The housework will always be there, no one expects perfection, and you're a new mom! Enjoy it! They will only be small and need you for this small period of time before they are in school or daycare... it all goes by so fast. You're doing great, Mama!
May God be with you amber I've been watching you since I was like 14 I'm going to be 18 soon ! You hair videos just taught me how important it is to take care of my hair as a young lady! So thank you my hair looks AMAZING 🤩 I will keep you in my prayers that God will get you whatever you are going through behind close doors ! Stay beautiful and inspiring queen 👑❤️
I came here to listen to Amber, my hair is not even a 10% close to hers. And, I'm glad I did! Today I was feeling physically so drained, to the point of almost shut down. All of it due to menopause. Yes, menopause. For the past three years hot flashes have made my nights miserable. And I put my best face out there, but today I couldn't even try. I only slept for three hours, and I can understand how tired Amber must feel due to motherhood. Amber, thanks for the preaching, I need to be kinder to myself.
Girl I am praying for you. When I had my twins I had baby blues/ ppd and baby separation anxiety. The number one thing that helped me get out of it was nursing. I don’t know if you are nursing or if you still can nurse but it was a life saver for me. Apparently something happens to your body when you nurse that helps with ppd and anxiety. Take it easy and take it one day at a time. It will get better.❤❤❤
Thank you for your transparency. Many other TH-camrs will only show their good days. That is an unreasonable expectation to think that life is all good days. In order to enjoy the pretty flowers, we must get through the rainy days. But no worries, the sun will come out again. Sending you love and sunshine to enjoy your beautiful family. 💖🌞🌻🌺🌷🌹

I love the you acknowledge the struggles ANY woman can have, regardless the image she just shows as it may be a way for her to feel better about herself.
When I had my son I went through a phase of depression. I was too much ashamed to say anything. I found out later it was post partum depression and every woman gets it after birth. I was told it gets better and it does. I love your honest videos. I've been watching your videos for years. You taught me how to like my hair and what to use to tame my hair. Don't give up. Love you guys
There is a huge Difference between baby blues which might be what you mean as it affects almost all women in some intensity and post partum depression, which is to be treated and might not go away on its own if not
I love how transparent you are. Transitioning from one child to two is already challenging without the extra stuff that you went through to bring both of your babies into the world. Thank you so much for sharing with us. If no one has told you today, you are AMAZING.💕
Absolutely love your transparency and the quote you shared with examples. Self care is so important. I'm at the point in my life where I have swapped out the idle time on social media with more self care. I fell in love with journaling. It keeps me sane with my 2 kids and helps me to focus on my life, my goals and where I'm headed rather than spend hours looking at other people's lives. I only watch things that are positive and enlightening and that's why I love your channel. Keep dropping gems 💎
I’ve been watching you since I was in high school, had all this hair and I had no idea what to do with it pretty much all my life (my mom has straight hair). We have similar hair texture and I’ve been learning all these techniques from you and my hair is so healthy and moisturized now. Your impact on me will last a life time so thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Thats true, my hair means a lot to me. With the depression it made me lost a lot of hair, and now im getting it back, and taking care of it again, im feeling way better ❤ thanks for this video
As someone with anxiety and depression, your talking about not comparison was powerful for me. My comparisons feed into my depression and creates a vicious cycle. Knowing I'm not alone helps me feel better. Thank you for sharing.
When I was struggling with PPD and self care took a backseat to caring for my newborn, I actually decided to cut my hair. It was something I struggled with but ultimately it was so much easier to care for and helped me to feel better. It didn’t feel like this major chore I dreaded doing. Once I cut it to a more manageable length it was a game changer. Not suggesting this for you, but might be worth considering. Some years back when you rocked the above the shoulder length it was super super cute! My experience it was so worth it and helped me with the PPD because I wasn’t so stressed over my hair!
For me after birth I found it easier to break up my wash day. I detangle 1 day, wash and deep condition the next and moisturize just as you did in this video, and then actually style the next day or even the day after. This way im never losing moisture bc im actually taking a few moments for myself and my hair at least every other day.
Thank you so much for the “preaching”!😊 although I am not a mom, I really needed to hear that. I should not compare what I see in someone else’s life to what actually is in my life. Comparison is truly a thief of joy, and I can honestly say that my joy has been stolen a lot in my life. Thank you for being transparent, and for allowing God to speak to me through you! Keep shining your light!❤
I like the way you're talking about your condition and showing the consequences on your hair it makes me feel less alone like I can relate, I've been suffering from D for 9+ years and I got the same matted and dry hair I couldn't believe I was shedding in my early 20s I felt so sorry for myself and weird like how can you have such bad hair condition at 20??? Now I know this is not the same thing as you but seeing this video makes me feel so motivated about taking of myself thanks a lot Amber I really have hope for myself to recover from D and get my natural curly hair back ❤️

Your hair look so beautiful, heathy and strong. ❤ Sometimes do a lot of daily task takes over and I can't find the time for my hair. I've recently lost some hair due to stress. I just found the time to do some self care and treat my hair as it needs. It was lacking much moisture and hydration, and it was limp. I was hiding it under a wig or caps when I went out. Today I was finally showing my hair, looking better than a few weeks before. I get inspiration from your videos when I feel unmotivated. Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations on the new addition to the family! When you are feeling better, you can use a paste made with Vitamin C powder and a strong shampoo like Head & Shoulders Classic to lift the color in your hair where the color took too dark. At least it looks to me like the top half of your hair is lighter than the bottom half? The paste really works and it didn't damage my hair. I have done this a few times. Take care of yourself. 😊 All the best.
Hi Amber I am so happy you are in better spirits! I also have a daughter and I am curious if you will show a hair routine for the oldest daughter? Bad enough as a mom we gotta have a routine for our own hair, but school age children it’s a little different and I struggle with a good routine cause I do a protective style so I don’t have to worry about it to be honest. I have locs, so I am just chilling with my routine. Congratulations on baby girl

But now when people hear me tell my story they know they aren't alone. Some folks tell me I shouldn't talk about it I tell them I'm not ashamed to talk about it.
Great advise. Hopefully young girls and people in general will listen to you. Great video. Best wishes to you and your precious little joy ❤️❤️

A diet high in antioxidants helps depression, balance hormones, weight loss, and much more. A quick fix is organic Green Matcha powder. You can make a cold or hot latte. I just do cold lattes daily quick and easy.
Thank you for the tip! ❤️

With all these products, how do the scents all work together? You have another beautiful daughter. So sweet 💖
We all have our days….I know I have mines. Hope things get better for you ❤
So glad I came across your page. I have similar hair and decided to go natural in 2014. I have struggled to manage my hair now that it’s long. Is this an ongoing hair routine or only when feeling down. You sound like me keeping your hair in a bun for days😂
Love this video! Plus you’re amazing and those babies are beautiful! #YouGoMomma ❤
Sending you Love & Grace! ❤❤❤💫
Hey Mama! You & your babies are beautiful! Have you ever thought about hiring a doula? They are not just for pregnancy and childbirth. They can help out and support new moms with their infants and self care. They are such an important jobs, being a mom and being a doula that takes care of new moms. 😊
