I have ordered the rc-600 used off guitar center and had great hopes that i could sell my tc helicon play acoustic and my boss oc-5 but i keep seeing folks hooking them up to the rc-600 so im thinking its harmonies must not be great and the octive down function may not be great either. Guess ill end up keeping the Tc helicon.
I would def keep the play acoustic. You can’t buy them anywhere and they are as you said fantastic paired with the 600 so if you sold it and regret it I think you’d struggle to replace it.
The RC-600 harmonies are actually pretty good. I was using the RC-600 harmonies but each harmony uses one effect so if you want an upper, lower and same pitch harmonies will use 3 effects and the RC-600 can only have 4 effects at a time. I needed delay, chorus and other effects so ended up getting a Harmony Singer pedal. I also use the OC-5 for bass effect w/ my acoustic 12 string guitar.
@@bkhawaii I use the harmony singer 2 on my board and it’s fantastic but playing the guitar I can’t have a third above say at a verse then 3 part at the chorus because you have to turn the white knob unless you could master that with a foot - and that’s no happening with my flippers! Easy on the play acoustic though. It’s also battery hungry I run it off a power supply now.
Hey Ronnie - so yeah the harmonies on the 600 are good but as said on this thread, it takes up effects and also it’s not natural play. Hence why I keep my TCHVLPA.
