Lee Ann, I have no idea how I missed this Camp Dram! Bunna 12 is fav of mine. I did a virtual tasting a range of Bunnas a couple years ago. The 18 was liquid gold. The Palo Cortado was amazing ... utterly amazing ... but WAY too expensive to buy a bottle of. The Toiteach a Dha is a nice smokey one. Haven't had a change to try a Moine expression, but am told they're good. Thanks for sharing, too, about where you are in Louisiana. Regards to Mark. :)

Hi Lee Ann. That’s a healthy dram you poured yourself there I must say 👍. Bunnha 12 is simply a good dram at a good price, where I am anyway. On the other side I love a Bunnha staoisha,( heavily peated)bourbon matured, young and CS, good video Lee Ann, slàinte.

I really like this dram. It's sherry, sweet, and savoury. Pretty full body for a 12yo. Tbh, I didn't think the 18yo was a big step up from this one to justify the huge price increase. And wow, that's expensive, especially when I can buy a bottle for that much in 🇨🇦. Glad you're doing well in Camp Dram. Cheers Lee Ann 🥃

I like the Bunnahabhain 12 quite a lot. I am not too fond of their seated expressions, I think other Islays have more success with that style. Anyway, I just wanted to say, it is an amazing beautiful place you are at. Wow! And I liked the plant tidbit in the end :)

A few weeks ago I was deciding between buying this one or the Talisker 10. I had never had either one of them. Went with the Talisker, was wondering which you'd prefer, and why?
Hey Michael! Oh gee, that's a hard one.... I really like them both. The Talkisker 10 was my FIRST Camp Dram Review - I just love the wood smoke but low peat from it. The Bunna 12 has has no peat but I do pick up a hint of smoke - but nothing like the Talisker. Bottom line BOTH are fabulous and it all depends on my mood as to which I pick to pour. Enjoy the Talisker but grab the Bunna when you are ready. you will love it.
Great review, Lee Ann. We don't know how long the 12 will remain as part of Bunna core range. Rumor has it that the Stiùireadair is meant to replace the 12 when the stock runs out. It's a shame if true as the 12 is such a great dram the Stiu...r just pales in comparison.

I'm in New Orleans and it's $85-$90 here, so as much as I wanted to, I avoided buying the bottle. I hit the road for a week after Ida, and found it in Ft. Walton for $58. I do love this whisky, but I won't overpay that much for it. Principles, you know. While there I also found the Toiteach A Dha, and it's quite a tasty little sip, as well.

$85 is a lot! Definitely agree that it's a great little peaty whiskey to enjoy as a seasoned drinker, or to introduce people to peat.
