      I've been to and love them all! However, taking a leisurely stroll along the narrow streets of Place Royal is always an adventure (so many cool little shops), very relaxing, and it's hard to beat. Can't wait to visit again and see how the renovations around Place de l'Hôtel-de-Ville & City Hall are going.

    Of course my favorite memories of Quebec City is food - Lapin Saute for duck dishes and La Petite Cabane a Sucre for soft serve maple ice cream. I also loved all the artists selling their art work in a park. Thank you for your videos!

    We visit the city once a year and have been for about 10 years now. We've been there in every season now and I recommend autumn, it feels like the city was made for the fall.

    • @EileenAldis
      @EileenAldis  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow, what a wonderful annual tradition. Do you tend to revisit your favourite spots or go to new ones? I imagine a mix of both? I appreciate the tip about visiting in the fall. Autumn weather is perfect for travelling, I think. I'm curious if you've been for the winter carnival and what you think. I've wanted to experience it ever since studying it in French class at school. :)

      @@EileenAldis We've been to winter carnival and it's great, but dress warm. We always stay in the lower city but do a mix of our previous favourites and also try new things each year. We're familiar enough now that we tend to avoid the "touristy" stuff and check out smaller shops and restaurants. We're in Toronto so it's only an hour flight from Billy Bishop airport, very convenient.

    Great video. Certainly brings back memories, i was fortunate to have studied in the old city for 2 years just before uni.
    It was a magical time. In summer, there are loads of festivals and activities, so its buzzing with people. In winter, the looks are simply majestic, with the old buildings under the fresh snow. Postcard perfect.
    If you haven't visited, summer or winter, its certainly worth the stop 😊

    Fun places you didn't mention? There's the Montmorency Falls, the Aquarium and the entirety of the St-Charles River Park: nearly 30 km of walking trails that snake down all the way from St-Charles Lake down to the St-Lawrence, with tons of different environement, it's full of wonderful places to explore and pretty much all of it can be accessed through buses.
