The Zombies in games like BO3 didn’t hit as fast as these ones do. And the amount of upgrades/augments you can activate make you practically unstoppable. Gives the player more to do, and doesn’t punish you for getting better (:
First of all I have to say that you can still get ammo mods and you can still get upgraded weapons through killing snowmen and by getting holiday gifts. You can also get lethal weapons and scorestreaks from the same snowman and holiday gifts.
This is because in older cods we didn't have all these elite zombies at the same time, we had 1 at a time, now it's 3-5 of different varients so it makes sense we can't survive without the new upgrades
It doesn't work, since in higher rounds, the zombies just hit harder and harder, even with jug, you'd get 2 shot. CW zombies and after, only works with armor. Since it is your armor that mitigates most damage
Agreed old zombies is harder for high rounds but without plates and special/elites running around makes things harder if you go down that’s a lot of money to lose for expensive PAP that we didn’t have before

it's the way the mode is balanced currently. Base guns don't do enough damage for higher rounds and the number of zombies and speed of them is both higher than in older games. The current mode is built around weapon upgrades and having unlimited sprint and the LTM removes those core aspects for the most part
Apart from the armor plates, the amount of drops in this mode is high enough to cover the need for the arsenal and crafting table. A good aspect, it is forcing you to change your weapons as the difficulty of rounds goes high.

Ah yes I loved how they didn't optimized Bo6 to play like the older games so instead I get a frustrating experience as I have to play a harder bo6 without any of the benefits of playing 6 or the older games
I think it’d require a lotta balance changes and complete mechanical overhauls. For example, in a classic mode, armor would be absent but damage numbers would need to change to compensate for the loss in protection. Also in a classic mode, no loadout weapons so wall weapons and box buys would be valuable again. That might be easier but changing the ammo box system to make it how classic zombies only let you buy ammo from wall weapons would be difficult. The points system would have to return to classic zombies or at least how BO4 did it. Then no matter what, I think the arsenal machine would have to stay. The game is balanced around having it included. If you take it away, you’d have to change the entire balance of the mode in order for it to function. Crafting tables probably could stay alongside salvage since crafting has been in zombies since BO2. But taking that out would require also a complete overhaul of how equipment works in “Classic” mode. Then we don’t even wanna think about what to do with field upgrades and augments. I think it’s possible but also I think it’d just end up feeling like a stripped down BO6 zombies to be honest. Past games with the exception of BO4 were built with these mechanics and sometimes intentionally simplistic. BO6 has so many working cogs and they all need to be working. There are only a handful of changes I could see them making for a classic mode that would work. Like taking away your loadout weapon and starting with a pistol, maybe even rebalancing of health, armor, and damage. But not much else I could see them changing without stripping and overhauling it.
Let's not forget zombies also do not drop plates. But if you use frenzy guard you can Regen your plates and if you upgraded it you can Regen your partners plates as well. Or you can buy plates on the wall. Not being able to build and buy at a station makes it hard. Being frozen when you are not inside a building makes it hard as well. I believe the furthest I got was 26 but the elites are so over powered when you can't readily repair and upgrade.
It would work fine without those features, the devs are just too stupid to simply adjust the health pool of the zombies to account for the lack of them…

Such a stupid argument. Training zombies takes 0 skill, zombies in general doesn't take skill until you hit really high rounds.
Considering I stayed in spawn until like round 20 we don’t need the upgrade bullshit we just need double tap back and that’s it
A classic mode without the mystery box
Its pretty crazy that like 90% of the mechanics, people want gone. Goes to show they never should have been here in the first place.
Went back to bo3 last week bo6 makes you horrible at the og zombies you get to use to the game helping you on everything
You can get cryo freeze ammo mod from holiday presents and upgrade your weapons rarity from the church skull thing and holiday presents too
what church skull thing? I didnt see anyway of upgrading the rarity. u can pack-a-punch but not change rarity
Taking that stuff away just made it annoying im glad the stuff is in it makes it more fun
They throw literally so much at you by round 30, most guns start to suck fully upgraded by round like 40ish
It would work fine without those features, the devs are just too stupid to simply adjust the health pool of the zombies to account for the lack of them…
Yeah the devs are stupid. Why don’t you go ahead and do that. Y’all say anything
@@stevenp.3018The devs aren't in control of these decisions and yeah, sorry, but the devs are lazy in a lot of areas.
I coded since I was 9, so over 16 years of it before quitting.
"Why don't you go make it"
I didn't pay for someone else's product so I can fix it, lol.
Secondly, look at the modding community. Those people that you talk down to that you think can't do better....that show how easy and quickly they can push out better updates than the original devs.
Just stop.
@@stevenp.3018 what I said was a perfectly reasonable criticism that anyone who played the mode for 25/30 rounds without a rarity upgrade would come to realize immediately. It’s YOU people who just say anything, anything to cling to the teet of ATV. Unfortunately I don’t have the actual programming knowledge or employment with the company to make my ideas a reality, all they have to do is take community criticism into account from time to time (which they don’t unless it’s a pro or streamer)
@@SyIis I’ll never understand why the cod fan boys always freak out over simple criticism. My idea was perfectly reasonable and of course they always hit you with the “you want it so bad you can do it” because they have no other recourse.
@@kreamsupreme2935 I'm sure throwing insults at devs will get what you want. I guess you have never heard of constructive criticism?! you stated yourself you have no knowledge of how it works, you also don't who's makes game design decisions. ATV is a business. But do you.
I thought that they were trolling us when they remove that stuff lol😅🤣🙂 but seriously we're just going to have to see what happens
I think it would be better if you work for the mods and scorestreak by killing the special zombies for the scorestreaks. Ammo mod at random through PAP like in BO3 and just bring back the traditional shield.
You can also not create cryofreeze except for it comes on the ground all over the map throughout the whole game
It NEEDS To add wood repair system to classic mode
They barely even added any snow ❄️
If you can still do the Easter egg without all the extra crafting stations to make it easier, then it “fundamentally” works. Just not as convenient for the average gamers like me lol I have yet to beat it on jingle hells but ima keep trying
As long as you go to the dark Esther when the blizzard comes it’s easy (you don’t freeze)
If they wanna go "classic" remove special zombies & the armoured zombies.
Anyone with a pulse understands that this is not what they meant when they said they wanted classic.
